Salmon and potato dog food

We are looking to transition our three year old from Prescription Diet DD (salmon and potato) from DD to a high quality, commercial grade (non prescription) dog food, with the hope of saving some money.

I've done a search, with limited results.

Is anyone feeding their OES a food with salmon and potato as the primary ingredients? If so, which one?

Thank you.

We feed Blue Buffalo Whitefish and Sweet Potato.

I changed Sadie to Blue Buffalo whitefish and sweet potato and she loves it. You can get a $5 coupon by going to their webiste and entering in your address. It comes to your house in about 3 weeks. Good luck!
California Natural has a Salmon and Sweet Potato. I had my girls on it, but it gave them really bad gas.
Miley has food alllergies and we are feeding Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream. She seems to be doing well on it and it is fairly reasonable where we purchase.

here is a link the a website: http://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/products/dogs/pacific_stream_canine_formula/
If there's anyone out there who's still interested in a good Salmon and Sweet Potato dog food, and your lucky enough to have a Paul's Pet Foods distributor in your area, they make a great Salmon and Sweet Potato with Blueberries dog food...and they deliver. I find their prices quite reasonable and the delivery charge is incorporated into the price of the dog food. If your dog has allergy problems or a sensitive stomach, this is the food for your dog. It's even recommended by my vet, although it's not a prescription food. It can be purchased in 10-lb, 20-lb lots, as well as in 25-lb bags and 50-lb bags. I think you can even buy it in a 100-lb bag which would, of course, be extremely heavy to lift to pour into a food storage container. I've been feeding their food for almost four years and wouldn't think of feeding my dogs anything else. They also sell supplements. Their web addres is: http://paulspetfood.com/

I have mine on Pro Plan sensitive stomach which is a Salmon based food. Nigel's loves it and Bella is doing fine on it too. She has major allergies so I am glad to find something that works.
If you need a fish based food, look at Orijen. Hard to find. I get mine on line at: wwwthe petnutritioncenter.com. Its in Connecicut but the food is availabe elsewhere. Just google it. We use the Orijen six Fresh Fish kibble. Dogs do great on it - and this is afer many many issues with stomach, loose poop, etc. Orijen Six Fresh fish. Love it!
I just had a foster OES with us that we put on Canidae Salmon & Potatoes. She did well on it in the month that she was with us. The local pet food store also suggested that we consider Wellness Core Ocean Recipe. They thought it might be easier for some people to find.

Good Luck
Jennifer
