We never stop worrying

I don't care how many dogs you've had or have, when one must be anesthetized, we worry. The horror stories seem to out weigh the no incident stories......at least in our minds.

Glacier had to have her teeth cleaned today. This began with an uncomfortable evening two weeks ago that sent me looking her over. Took her to vet who agreed teeth cleaning in order. The vet did a senior dog exam and took a urine specimen......clean collect......which means it came via a syring in the bladder.....Glacier was not impressed, but at least didn't express her anal glads the last time I had a dog so treated.

Glacier also had a UTI and low thyroid. Glacier is a 10 year old Pyr....old for the breed. Immediately she was placed on antibiotics and today we did the teeth cleaned. I had other plans this a.m. but cancelled to stay by the phone. We never stop worrying about our babies.

It didn't help during the wait a lady called to say there's a dog in need in a shelter 150 miles away from me, not an OES, and then proceeds to tell me her lab "almost died" from anesthesia while having his toe nails trimmed

Thanks for letting me ramble. Glacier is in recovery, doing great and knowning a Pyr, probably up and walking the halls looking for a way out. Oh boy will I get the Pyr-cold shoulder when I go pick her up in a few hours.

I'm glad Glacier is doing well. :phew: Don't you just love people that have to tell you their horror stories when you are going through something with an unknown outcome? I can't tell you how many baby showers I have attended where women talk about horrendous things happening during childbirth in front of the mommy-to-be. WHAT??? 8O

Give Glacier a belly rub for us.

Laurie and Oscar
LOL, she's so pissed at me all she will do is sit and stare at the wall. Of course she's also still drunk.

Other dogs are upset with me too. DH fertilizing the lawn and will turn on sprinklers afterward. NO doggies on lawn while being fertilized. So they are stuck in the house. I'm leaving soon, so they will stuck in the house alone with Glacier. My stocks are falling.

Yeah, re: baby showers. Especially bad with first time mothers! What are people thinking??
Hope Glacier is feeling better, its tense when they
are at the hospital, glad she is back home.

Maybe a Frosty Paw will get you back in favor 8)
Why, Frosty Paws all around to celebrate coming home!
I second Zahra's idea! I am glad she is home and well.
I love Glaciers name,,,sulking bless her dont blame her....
Aweee... I'm glad things went well for Glacier. Coincidentally both my dogs had their teeth cleaned last week too. I always can't wait to have the dogs back b/c I hate stressing over them.

A look I know well :D . Glad she's feeling better though :)
Frosty Paw! I have some. I know she'll like that. Later. So far I haven't received a tag wag or head butt, even no thank you for breakfast. She holds a grudge.

It's good to have her home. Waiting for her to start barking again, then I'll known the drugs are out of her system. Nice and quiet tho.
