I have officially hit my mid 30's.  
I am traumatized. I know I'll get over it.... but Birthday's suck!! 
I actually got to sleep in this morning.  One bonus!
Then we went out to dinner this evening at Red Lobster with my MIL and BIL. YUM Another Bonus! My MIL mispronounced my name when the waiter asked what my name was, so they could sing Happy Birthday.  Then my BIL goes to correct her with another completely different and wrong pronunciation. Finally my husband corrects.
Good Grief, I've been with Billy for almost 8 years now, you think they would know how to say my name. 
I am supposed to go out with my family next weekend to celebrate with them. Maybe I can score another Lobster Dinner? They should feel guilty for not spending my Birthday with me, they were invited.
All in all, no matter how traumatic of a B-day it was, it was still a good day. A Lobster Dinner, A Pina Colada and sleeping in is my idea of an awesome birthday. If only the # would not rise each year it wouldn't be such a bad thing. |
