Soldier Hollow Classic in Utah
 It has several different activities including: "Great International Sheepdog Competition, Big Air Splash Dogs, Duck Dogs and the Ultimate Canines." We've never been to anything like this and honestly didn't think there was anything like it in Utah. We'll head up Monday when they have the "Sheepdog Grand Championship" and duck herding events. I hope there are lots of sheepies running around!! (We're new to all this so anything will be fun!)
Has anyone ever been involved in this event? Any pointers we need??  (They won't let us take Charlie..."No Spectator Dogs Allowed."  )

Probably little if any OE sheepdog, but the border collies, etc will knock your socks off. They are amazing. Our guys work a bit differently with the flocks, but I do wish we had more sheepdogs doing farm work and a special class for them. Our guys aren't just good lookers 
Wool Festival at the same time......oooh, shop you'll find some nifty little things as gift givers. A friend participates in the Northern NM Wood Growers stuff.....she from the Great Pyr guardian dog side, but always comes home with many interesting wool items and well sated on BBQ lamb. |
