Sphincter and medicine question

Hi all,

I looked for this but didn't quite find the right topic. Ralph has been peeing in his sleep - nothing huge, but enough to make things damp. He's 5 and house trained, so these are unusual instances

We took him to the vet, they did a urinanalysis - there wasn't any problem there. So the vet thinks he has problems with his sphinter and put him on "Uricon." We just started yesterday and tonight he's had huge loose stools. Once in the house unfortunately (Ugh.) :? He gets 1.5 pills a day.

So...has any one used Uricon before and had similar side effects? Could this just be the sensitive sheepie tummy? Will he get used to it?

Other suggestions?

Thanks,
Ann

It wasn't listed in the Rx side effects.

What did your vet say?
Karen took him to the vet after dropping me off at work; so, we don't know anything yet. Poor guy was up 3 times last night to go out. Squirty, smelly, runs.

If it is the med, we'll put up with the urine spotting.
