Oh Kerry...I AM SO ENVIOUS! You know I love Key West! Don't worry about Fay. KW had the grotto that will keep it (and you) safe.

I am worried about the others in Florida. My prayers are with all of you.

Kerry...please let me know about your trip. If you want any food/drink suggestions...pm me!!!!
Thanks!
I live in Palm Beach County, Florida...lots of rain today and lots more to come. The biggest problem for me is that my silly sheepie "Sunny" hates getting his feet wet. Today and tomorrow he will be ready to burst before he will go outside!
I am sure Key West will be fine for you next week, they are getting much needed rain. I am moving to Key West in a few weeks. :)

OMG :excited:

You're moving to Key West????? I AM SO JEALOUS

Wanna have dinner next May?
We are in southern Brevard County(Central/ Atlantic Ocean side) and are keeping our eyes on the weather map. We had our usual 5 minute rain storm today, but the sky is much cloudier then usual. I did hear some schools are closing tomorrow in our surrounding counties. I'm a little nervious being on the lake this year, the wind and the waves and all. My fear is flooding, but we'll soon see.

Take care everyone else in the TS path.

I am so jealous you are moving to Key West!!!!!
Violet, I hope you are still okay. Heard on the news this morning that your county got hit. Stay safe!
Violet,

I too saw your county got hit I hope you all are OK Post if you have power to let us know you are ok.....

Cindy
I have heard from both my sister in Cape Coral on the West Coast where fay cama shore, and my daughter in Daytona Beach where it appears to be still swirling a bit. Both said it is more a rain event than anything. I am sure others have had different experiences.
Rain, rain go away!!!!! Yes, Tropical Storm Fay paid Palm Bay a visit and stayed way to long. She dropped over 30 inches of rain on us. The rain was coming down at an inch per hour. Palm Bay is in the most southern part of Brevard County and we got it bad. Pretty windy, but we had put everything away so didn't have those types of problems.

On Tuesday, when I went to pick up my hubby from work, I went through two flooded areas. The only problem I encountered was when I was going through one area the cover to my spare came loose, under the van, and was flopping. Easy fix, just popped it back on. I did not venture out yesterday(I was watching the lake rise all day), but hubby said more flooding. The schools and many of the big companies like Harris, L3 and DRS where closed so not a lot of traffic. I do have water seeping into my kitchen and family room. (all on the same side of the house). When I found the water in the kitchen yesterday afternoon, I threw on my Crocs and ventured into the rain/wind. There is a slight low spot that was ponding just outside of that wall. So I have towels down and will be using a shop vac to clean and then when this is all over, clean all the carpets again. I won't mention the potty problems we are having since one particular shaggy dog WONT GO OUT IN THE RAIN. I watch her like a hawk, but as soon as I turn my back she leaves me a present. No thank you Violet!

During the night, I took the girls out twice to remind a certain sheepdog where to do her duty and it was nice to see the rain had stopped and it was a Florida warm night again. As I type though, I do hear the sounds of pitter patter on the window. I used to love the sound of rain....not so much anymore.

Fay has mostly moved on...some "beater band" for the next couple of days. I hope we get some sun soon, my solar panel on my body needs to be recharged. This is only the beginning of the season for us with regards to Tropical Storms and Hurricanes. Our worse times are from now until November 1.

I would like to thank everyone for their concern about us, it is great to have such good friends. I'll update you as things progress.
i live in cocoa and my 4 acres are under water coming towards my house
Helen,

Sorry to hear about the water problem indoors from the
storm. Its so difficult to manage when it is in your main living
areas. Sheepies really do not like to get their feet wet,
so we go through that a lot here in New England when we
get bouts of rainy weather.

Hugs to you and everyone affected by the storm. :ghug:
Hoping everyone stays safe

I was wondering how you where doing. I knew you had the pond for the dogs to swim in....so figured you probably have had enough rain also. I called my Friend in PSJ when we where getting our worst and asked her how things where there. She said it wasn't to bad. That night I saw that the rain we had sitting over us was moving up to your area...I haven't checked in with her today yet.

I walked outside today, down to the lake, and I watched our neighbor feeding the three swans. The water is REALLY high. It has been raining off and on all day, but there are breaks in the rain TG.

Take care of yourself and Duffy!
30 inches of rain! Hoooohaaa!!!! 8O 8O 8O

I'm glad all is well (except your flooring)!

Do you have a spare room for Chaunce and I. We won't mind the rain or heck, even the occasional hurricane.
I want my Baby's Coffee!

(I'm not sure it's the best coffee in the world, but it is served in one of the world's really great places.)
