Novice A rally dog

Had the great pleasure of watching Monster Mom (Becky) and her adorable Miley compete in rally for the first time this weekend here in WI. Always such a joy to watch a new OES enter the ranks of performance dogs and I love the way Becky reads her dog and plays with her. They're green, but with great promise. And they have their first rally novice leg and if I'm not mistaken also a placement to show for it! :D :D :D

Becky isn't on the forum a lot, but congratulate her if you "see" her. What a wonderful family; her two girls and husband there in attendance to back them up and support them, and it was so cute to see Miley with the girls.

Very inspirational.

Ditto the YAY!!! to Becky and Miley!!! :go:

I unfortunately missed the actual performance of the qualifying run, but Chewie and I made it there Sunday to watch and cheer.

Good job! :D :D
Bravo Miley!! WTG!! :go:
YAY Miley and Becky
Thank you for the well wishes. I was going to post saying I could step into a rally ring survive - which to me is a big surprise. It amazes me how I forget my left and right. You are right we are green but having fun.

Thank you Kristine and Dawn for your encouragement. It was great to meet you and your pups. Your encourgagement and advice will help the next time out. I am all ready looking for the next event. We need lots more practice but hey - its is all for fun.

Thanks Again
Becky,

You guys did such a great job for your first time out.

Sybil and Macy and I will be looking for fun matches this fall. I should start getting Sybil at least out there in trials. And maybe Liz. Waukesha Dog Training club has obedience run-thrus one Friday a month. I'll check to see if they offer rally as well and we can maybe meet up periodically and enter some of the same trials down the road.

Right now we're sort of on hiatus, except for agility classes (because our instructor is of the enlightened variety) - I have three in season. Which works out OK because we're so busy at work. But fall is my favorite time for - everything. Let's try to meet.

Dawn - when are you down for Basset Fest?

Kristine
Bassetfest is August 23-24. We are coming Friday the 22nd.

Seeing you brought it up.........want to babysit? The hairy boy, that is!
We will be camping at the Muskego County Park. Bassets only allowed at the event. :(

I would love to get together and do something while we are there. :D

YIPPEEE!

Would love to hang out with the boy! :D Pick-up and drop off included.

Do you guys get any free time or is it all about the drool?  :sidestep:

Kristine
Cool!

It is a pretty busy weekend, but we can make some free time. After the opening ceremonies which I need to be at Sat AM, I can pick a time to be gone.

Check your schedule, let me know what works. :D
