Wire brush

A few years ago I stummbled across a no name wire brush for our sheepies, since I had bad expirience with the top brands I decided to give them a try. :D

Now about five years on I swear by them thay are super for the sheepie coat long or short and the life expectancy is great. Furthermore these brushes are much cheaper than the big brand names. :D

The reason for this post is: if anyone in the UK would like to order a wire brush then please contact me at (dairymaid@hotmail.de) as I have friends coming over soon I was going to sent the brushes back with them to distribute. :D

The cost of the brush will be 5 pounds plus postage, all the money (apart from the postage) will be donated to the Scottish Old English Sheepdog Rescue Fund, I have only 24 brushes available. :D

These brushes are awesome!!

I was lucky enough to have gotten one from Stewart and I love it!!
(Thanks again Stewart! :D )

I'm not the only one that loves it, Rags loves the brush too.
so if you live in the U.S. where can you get this brush? what is the name/brand?
I also would like to get some more information on these brushes and where in the USA I may be able to purchase one. Thanks in advance for your help.
I cannot give you any info regarding the brush and where you can purchase them in the states, I can ship to anyone who is interested.

I have one too.. And I have to say its Brilliant... I payed £30 for one of my brushes, and it was useless, Just wouldn't go thro. the coat. So now its in the bottom of my grooming box..

These Brushes are excellent they go straight thro. the coat and the girls love them...
Thank you Stewart. :D
I can attest to them, too! They work very well. I used to use a rake more often and Tucker really hated it, but aside from some sensitive areas he usually tolerates this brush very well.
Can you post a picture of it, Stewart? :?
As requested a foto of the brush I use.

It reminds me of a regular human hair brush the one with the pins set in rubber :D
You will find most of the brushes we use for the sheepies originate as normal hair brushes.
What's the difference between this brush and, say, a pin brush from Chris Christensen or All Systems? Is it the pad? The pins? Harder? Softer?
Thanks for the photo, Stewart, and ditto to Jill's question. It looks really similar to the All Systems or Hindes. What makes it different? :? I'm always looking for a good tool. :D
Over the years I have spent a small fortune on wire brushes, most of them coming from the top brand names, with all of these brushes at one time or another the pad always loosened at the edge of the brush.

Since I have been using this brush I haven't had this problem once and futhermore the dogs seem to prefer being groomed with it, the brush has a nice pad not too hard sits very well in your hand and something I really like is that it is a wooden handle and not plastic. :D

On most brushes there are holes in the pad to allow the air to escape, with long haired dogs like ours this is impossible, this brush has a hole in the top end of the frame and here the air can escape easily. :D :D

I am not saying everyone will find this brush a blessing but we are extreamly happy with it and the results it gives, from all my friends who have or rather have one they all swear by them. :D :D :D

Stewart
I just got mine...and there is something about the pins that totally fluff the fur. The ends are a bit wider then the pins and it works great. Thanks a bunch Stewart!!!
I just got my brush, love it. Seems like it will work great on the coat. I tried to use it real fast just to see but...Obe was more interested in the squirrel. It is play time so we will use it tonight.
A big thanks to all of you who have ordered and I hope received the wire brushes I had on offer. The Scottish OES club will be getting a donation for a total of 75 pounds later this month which will be very welcome I'm sure. Plus because of my many business trips at the moment I have managed to get two bottles of whiskey for the club to raffle off for the rescue, without your help this would not have been possible. :D :D :D
Glad to help out, and it's for a good cause.
