My oes ate (okay whittled may be a better description) my kitchen chairs when they were young. We have a 6 month old newfie puppy now and he barely ever chews on anything (well there was that windowsill, but one of the OES ate that first  )

the difference is he is raw fed. he gets raw (sometimes frozen) meaty bones and even though he loves to have something in his mouth (he is a retriever of sorts) he doesn't have the urge to chew everything. My next OES puppy may not be raw fed but will get raw meaty bones to chew on. And I may get new kitchen chairs :)

I would be concerned about all the processed puffed food stuffs out there and I never feed rawhide.
Get an appropriately sized nylabone, Archie can spend hours nawing away on his.

I would not recommend pigs ears they send Rosie scobby and her behavior is ridicules i don't give my two anything that is not natural because of this I learn't the hard way.

A whole carrot straight from the fridge is really good when their teething. The rawhide natural bones are good along with the nylabone.

Or the kong range of toys that you stuff full of food and they have to get it out, this is really good.

we did experience rosie chewing our kitchen cupboards, walls and the dining room table when she was 11mths - 15mths.

those they loved - they do disappear quickly - even the huge ones :)
Jack loves raw frozen beef bones. He will spend hours chewing on them. I go to our local grocery store and ask the butcher for bones and he will cut them to what ever size I ask for. It's easier to get them in the Fall through winter as they usually have them for soup bones. He has never chewed on furniture. He's more into ripping up paper. He loves the trashcans. :)
