Cheyenne is turning into a puppy UGH.

I dont know what is going on in her walnut sized brain (walnut sized is hubby's opinion) but our 7yo GSD has started getting in the garbage and spreading all over the kitchen. She does this at night when we are all sleeping WHY??? SHe's driving me crazy. Is she secretly hoping to get the sheepies in trouble??? Cant be Sophie, she still sleeps in her crate. It cant be Beauford he sleeps in our room and our door is closed. HMMM naughty GSD. She's supposed to be sleeping in Laura's room. UGH. but she can open the door and roams the house freely. She useed to be such a well behaved dog. We could trust her and now I have to put the trash in the laundry room at bedtime.

What could be causing this behavior is it the new puppy? Sophie has been here since the end of April?? What to do?

Yup! It's the new puppy. Someone feels displaced. You are paying more attention to the pup, (which is quite normal) and someone is jealous. Also puppy antics can get to even the most docile older dog.

Cheyenne needs time alone with you........walks for example. GSD are smart dogs, she's exhibiting her frustration with the new dog and is trying to get attention from you.
