My husband accomplished his mission while home on leave. We're are pregnant! I wish I could have found out before he went back, but oh well. That news really woke him up, lemme tell ya! We had lots of fun while he was home....that's a loaded statement, lol. Our trip to San Antonio was a bust though, we weren't even there for a full 24 hours and someone broke into our truck in broad daylight right in front of the hotel. They stole our in-dash nav system, his zune, and a bag that had a puzzle from the zoo. We got so aggravated with the whole ordeal that we drove the six hours home in the dark with no window. I had to sit on a blanket til we found a vacuum at Fort Sam Houston to get all the glass vacuumed up. The hotel reimbursed our stay, thankfully, but now we have to pay our deductible....ugh...I thought I had lowered it, but no, still $1000. Now it has been lowered, though, lol. The body shop that USAA recommended here has my truck, and the estimate to get everything fixed is a little over $5000. Could go up or down depending on if they have to completely replace the door. Soooooooooooo, our first family vacation just for ourselves was a complete bust. But on the happy side, that's probably when we got pregnant! He had to leave at six in the morning on the 4th...rather cruel, but not unexpected from the army. After the San Antonio debacle, we ran around close to home a lot, went fishing and such, went to an alligator park. Thankfully we have two cars. Don't get me wrong, my truck was driveable, especially after the window got replaced, but there was still lots of glass in it, and we didn't wanna take the chance of someone seeing the damage to it, and seeing how easy it would be to steal the entire thing, so off to the shop it went, to sit til they get all the parts and new nav system. Oh I feel for you regarding the truck and what a shame it put a damper on what would have otherwise been a fun vacation. Not fair! The detuctable is a killer too..again not fair you have to pay so much for what someone else did.
Oh the brighter side...Yeah!!!! Another OES neice or nephew for me!! LOL!

| Thank you so much for your congrats! I just had to share with my OES family. And yep, this is number two. George has already developed the habit our Bouvier had while I was pregnant with our first of laying his head on my tummy . He never did it before I was preggers, not like he is now. He kinda snuggles it. Can't wait til the bean is big enough to kick.......should be good for a few laughs! |
