Pooh's update

Some of you have asked for an update so here goes.

He came home last Thursday and slept for the next 36 hours. I think he must have not slept at all while at the vet's office. On Friday afternoon when I came home from work, I got the typical slobbery kisses that I had grown accustomed to. He seemed back to normal. By Saturday, he wanted to run and play but I am still not able to do that as he has to wait until the staples come out. That happens on Monday, and since I have to take at least the morning off to go to the vet to do this, I think on the way back we are going to the dog run--our yard will not be fenced until the spring, so I need someplace fenced (anyone in Essex County, NJ willing to have a play date on a Monday? )

He's grown accustomed to sleeping on the couch, but since we've been allowing him up, he now understands what Down means. And he does do it when we tell him too.

So, all in all, he's much better. He'll be on antibiotics for another week or so, and we're getting him back onto his dry food, but all in all, he's the same old Pooh!

That's great to hear! Good job you guys! :)
:) Glad to hear Pooh is doing well!
Josh,
I'm so glad to hear that Pooh is doing better, thank god for vets! I love seeing your photos of Pooh and hearing your tales of his adventures. It brightens my day when there is a new post from you and it really gets bright when there is a new photo of Pooh. He has such a sheepie face.

Thanks and keep them coming!
i havent been on for a long time and i just saw your post... poor pooh!!

the problem is, that can happen with *anything*. It's not your fault. Roofus had himself a bowel obstruction too, at 3 months, but luckily the vet just flushed him with all kinds of liquid and it came out on its own. And he was vomitting after drinking water, and he just laid on the floor and sighed and looked at me... Know what it was? Not a greenie, but a piece of real bone. Nothing is safe!

so it's not your fault! it's one of those things that you can't predict and is nearly impossible to prevent. my roommate's dog, whenever she gets ahold of a cow hoof, throws up a piece of it a few hours later. There ARE NO SAFE HARD TREATS!

hope pooh bear feels better, he's so cute!!
Great to hear Pooh Bear is doing so much better!
Three cheers for Pooh! So glad he's feeling better!
Chris
Glad to hear Pooh is better!
Sending my well wishes too! Give Pooh a big bear hug from me (gently of course) and hope he's feeling better soon.
