Flannigan 1996-2008

We had to put him down due to a stroke Saturday afternoon. He could no longer walk, go out even if we carried him.

He was my best freind. I rescued him when he was about 7 weeks old. ( Left in a old house to die. ) He fit in the palm of my hand. He was shaking so hard. I put him in the front of my coat and he snuggled right in and went fast asleep. For months he slept on my chest. Later he was between huubby and me.

My heart is breaking. The pain is so great I can't even cry. I stayed up with him all night. He had lost control of his bladder. I had pads under him and changed them often.

I loved him so much. He was 12 1/2 yrs old.

This is the second dog in 3 months we had to put down. (Cinderella)

Flannigan, Mommy and Daddy will always LOVE YOU, and keep you in our hearts.

Thanks for a chance to talk this out.

Deana and Richard

I'm so sorry for your loss.
daena, I'm so sorry....
Flannigan was truely loved and adored, he knew that. The special place that he has always kept in your hearts will always be just for him, no matter how many more come along, they can never fill his space, but will carve out space of their own. There must be a special place in heaven for all of us who take these special characters into our lives, these fur babies that we love, and care for and share our hearts and homes with, a place where when all is said and done, we will be reunited with them to play another day. I feel your pain as if I had just let my beloved Tyler go again... I'm so sorry for the grief you are feeling. Ron said it best, it will lessen with time, this I know too. And then every once in a while, something will remind you and you feel the loss again, but you also remember the wonderful love and life you shared with your beloved boy.

I will keep you in my thoughts.

Sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts are with you.
Deena,

I know how u are feeling and my heart truely breaks for you. Know that he had a wonderful life with you right from the start at 7 weeks old. Flannigan is happy now and pain free and waiting for you at rainbow bridge.

Love Helen
I'm so sorry for your loss!!!

The one thing our sheepies leave with us when they have to go is the memories of their clownish behavior. So, when you feel down, try to recall one of the silly things he use to do. That should help lift your spirits and put a smile back on your face.

I know the pain is immense, but as Ron said, it will diminish over time.
I'm really sorry for your loss, and so closely following your other loss, I know the pain is hard, but it will subside and you will be left with all those wonderful memories, my heart goes out to you.

Peter.
I'm so sorry. I know you did everything you could. It's the hardest thing to do even when you know it's time.

So sorry for your loss
I am so sorry for this loss and your other's as well!
I found this site a few hours ago and have just come back to it after a computer break. We were loved, protected and herded by an OES for many years - He died a long time ago and I still miss him. I'm feeling my loss again as I write to you - I'm so familiar with what you're going through. I remember Robin sliding down our hall and slamming into the door, getting up, barking happily and doing it again! If curious you can find my post about Robin. Sorry you're going through this.
