Our first trip with Charlie comes closer!

We soon, in 6 weeks, will start our 1. trip with Charlie to Europe!

We booked the Ferry to Dunkerque and from there we go to Munich for 10 days and then to Hamburg where my dad lives.

We go on the 20.8. on the Ferry at 2am in the morning and then straight to Munich and stay in Hamburg from the 31.8. until 9.8.

The most of my family and friends live in Munich where I was born and it is quite exiting to go back!

I already checked the Vet, we dont need to make appointment when we want the check Charlie (Flea's/Ticks) before we go back to UK.

It will be a long journey for me as Max doesnt have a driving license and I have to drive everything by myself! I do will buy a Sat Nav to find my ways round!!

Everyone is exited to meet Charlie for the 1. time!!! :hearts: :go:

Sounds like a great trip :) .
Wow Monika how brave to drive all that way! Have a great trip and don't forget to take lots of pictures!
This sounds like a really fun trip visiting family and friends and you get to take Charlie everywhere you go! Perfect! 8)

On a side note, I recently had to drive to Philadelphia for a business trip. I borrowed my BIL's navagation system. It drove me crazy! The device and I did not agree on the route I should take, so I finally ended up tossing it in the glove box. Hope you have more luck with yours!!
I just bought a Garmin Nuvi 250, it's an american product and my brother told me it suppose to be the best at the moment on the market!

I got no clue, other people told me that the Tom Tom would be better, but I dont really know so I just went with what my brother said as he got the same and he knows something bout technic etc.

Hope I dont get lost LOL!!!

.... and yep Karen, my dad is already scared of me driving all the way, I havent even thought off as I'm sooo exited to go back home!!!

It might hit me while I'm on the road and getting tired.

From my house to Dover it's around 5hours which I will drive after I worked all day!! :?

Then I can relax for 2 hours on the ship which I use to sleep and we will arrive at 5am in Dunkerque. From there I go straight to Munich and it suppose to be around 9/10 hours WITHOUT a break! AAAAAhhhh!

Same time back to Hamburg and around 7/8 from Hamburg to Dunkerque, but I just DONT wana think about it just now yet!!! :D :? 8O

I'm sure everything will be fine, I do have a week each to relax and I'm also visiting 2x a rock gig, once in Munich and once in Hamburg. I'm a big big Stray Cats fan and I'm going in Munich with a very good friend I know since the 70's and in Hamburg I'm going with my sister. It's the Stray Cats Farewell tour and I have to go as many gigs as I can! It makes my holidays even nicer!!! While I rock, Max stays with Charlie and my friends and having "fun" with Charlie getting wild!! LOL
Monika I had a Garmin Nuvi and I got on really well with it. It had Bluetooth so I could 'marry' my mobile phone up with it too so it acts like a hands free kit - very useful! My new car has a built in Sat Nav so I gave the Nuvi to my youngest daughter Kelly who lives in London. It gets her about town without getting lost! Good Luck on your trip!
Hope you all have a wonderful time

That sounds interesting! We tried our Sat Nav yesterday and it was the 1.time for me to drive with one and I find it very "funny"! I could always use one, even if I dont need one, just for the fun of it!

I feel quite good now to arrive there in style and on time!

I'm looking forward to it now!! :D :D :D
