Very personal Question ( Woman)

Thursday I fell really hard. The same side I broke my hip and knee. I tripped on the edge of the carpet.

Well anyway I landed on my left side and breast. I am very sore on that breast. Should I wait and see if I just brused the inside?

I have lots of bruses on my left side.

BOY DO I HAVE LUCK OR WHAT> :?

While skating at her granddaughter's birthday party, my SIL fell foward and landed flat on her frontside. Her boobs (small ones  ) both hit the floor and as she slid forward, they were stretched backward.

She complained of pain for a long time in her boobs. They were very tender!!! She never went to the doctor and the pain finally went away, but from the begining she said she probably should've. She never had any problems later, but she was well past childbearing age, so....??

If you're sore enough to be asking the question, I would advise you to at least call and see what they say. With this being Saturday you could call the hospital emergency room and ask them if there's anything you could've damaged. At the very least they could give you something for pain.........

Sorry you're in such discomfort!!!!!!
Oh that sounds awful, sorry this has happened to you! Please go to the doc just in case. It's ALWAYS better to be safe than sorry. In the meantime Arnica cream is supposed to help with bruises but ask at your pharmacy first :D
You could have cracked some ribs, pulled stuff and "contussed" (I don't know the proper medical term)...contusion to the breast....or even a hematoma. The hematoma would show up in an xray. Over time the hematoma would be resolved but it might leave an area of distortion that would show up in a mammogram in the future. (something to file in the back of your mind for the future)

Right now cold therapy and a good supporting bra...I realize other bruises may preclude that....are about all you can do.........and pain meds.

The falling is something you should address. Is there a cause? OK, being klutzy might be part of it. A friend went thru several years breaking this and that, finally redid her house, taking out all throw rugs and making the place a bit safer. She also has become more "fall aware" watching the topography around her very carefully.

Arnica may help reduce those bruises faster.........it also comes in pill form.
I had a freind who was wrestling with her boys, and one of them bumped her breast with his head, she felt very sore for a very long time. She went to the doctor and while she had just had a mamogram that showed her clear, this one showed a different story, she had stage 4 breast cancer, caught early because of the pain she experienced she is still with us. I always think of this as something to not ignore, but to have ruled out. So my vote, go to the doctor and make sure it's nothing.

I fell down the stairs once and landed on an iron plant stand. The imprint was on my breast and it hurt like heck! I happened to be going to the doctor and showed her. It was "just" bruised. OUCH!

Doctor visit is in order. My great aunt received a trauma to the breast and much like Tylers Moms' friend, it became cancer.

Better to know you are just sore. :)
As a nurse, I must say if your concerned enough to ask, you should go to your doctor and get a mammo, if for no other reason than peace of mind.
It is rare that trauma will cause cancer, but I would get it checked just to be sure. I believe better safe than sorry.
