Now, it's my turn.............

Okay we have one member finished with school........ Now it's MY turn........... as we are not having puppies here...... I am starting back to school July 1 instead of the end of Septmeber. I haven't mentioned this to many people....... but I decided one night as i was laying here i watched late tv, and the ad for Bel-Ray Vet Technician School came on. I called just to get some info............ before i knew it, they have me signed up and i start Reg. Vet Tech school ...... on July 1.

So you guys get to back ME up now for the next 2 years....................

AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH i'm too old to be doing this!

That's awesome Ali, Good Luck! :D
Wow, that's great to hear ..............yet such a surprise since I remember there being talk of retiring in Mexico!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We will definitely be here with you esp when you need a break from studying those exams!!! Don't go losing your mind now while your husband is away!!
School is fun! You'll enjoy it. I just started a PhD program myself so I'm in for the long haul with you!
one of the main reasons for going to this school.........is so that I CAN become knowledgeable and know what is going on for in 2 years for us to move to Mexico and open the kennel........ I love my vet in Mexico, Rodrigo but Vet school in Mx. and Vet school here in the US are not the same thing...... Rod is into Holistic Vet and Rehab adn I am sorry, i do rely on science and medicine. Plus I am going to specialize in canine reproduction....... my repro vet here has already told me I *WILL* in no uncertain terms do my internship with him...... lol I told him he will have to request from my school......

not bragging here by any means, but I had no idea this school was as prestigous as it is...... It is supposedly the TOP Vet tech school in the USA and the 2nd oldest. I have been told it is like going to the "Harvard" of schools........ so i better do well........aghhhhhhhhhh scarey going back at this age and all the youngsters there........their brain cells are younger.........and fresher..........
Congrats, Ali! :clappurple: You can do it! And just remember - we're all here when you feel like your head is about to explode!!
You guys just amaze me!!! Congrats and GOOD LUCK!
Congrats, Ali!

Don't worry about going back to school later in life. You will do fine!

I went back twice after leaving college when I was 20 (long story): once in my mid twenties, and later in my mid 40's. What I found was that my problem solving skills were just as sharp or sharper than ever but rote memory was much more difficult. I actually had to study, use flash cards, re-type up my class notes, etc. My time management skills and discipline and motivation were much stronger than that of the young kids.

Let me know if you need some encouragement or some drill sargent-ing or cheerleading! I know you'll do great.
Congrats Ali
You will do great!
Wow!! Fantastic news!

You would be perfect for those courses and while it's going to take work the end result will be worth it!

Best wishes to you!

Marianne
Ali, you are NEVER too old! Ann Landers said "those years will pass by whether you go to school or not" so you might as wellgo to school. Plus think of all the knowledge you will bring to those in Mexico. You will ultimately be a teacher. Remember to buy a new Snoopy lunchbox and a backpack!
Wow! Bel-Rea! Oh you'll do well. I suspect you know so much already, but you are right, there is so much more to learn.

Sorry they aren't up in Brighton though, to make the commute easier. Still, not bad. Not like trying to get to Littleton.
Congratulations! You will do well!
Congratulations, I'm sure you will top the class and love every minute of it :clappurple:
good for you ali!!! my mom went back to undergraduate school at 51..finished law school at 57 and is now a practicing attorney (with as she says...too many clients) at 63!
