favorite Low Carb Dinners????
Last night I made: London Broil Steamed summer squash, dressed lightly with olive oil Sautéed Spinach with garlic So good! Tonight.... perhaps I will poach some salmon with steamed veggies, my favorite medley is carrots, cauliflower and broccoli.... L |

Tonight we had parmesan crusted chicken breasts Grilled asparagus spears drizzled with olive oil Cucumbers slices dressed with sour cream and dill Dessert was cheesecake made with splenda -- and a nut crust |
| I think I'm also IR. I was on a diet called DASH for several months and didn't loose an ounce. Then I went to check out the IR plan, after I realized I was just not feeling that great. Always tired, joints achy and so on. So I did some research and found that I have most every indication for IR... So any pointers, I will be so happy.
Tonight I did thin slices of cold London Broil, whole wheat bread tomato sandwiches and coleslaw. I was pretty tasty. Tomorrow I picked up Tilapia (fish) and I will poach it with lemon and dill and a pile of steamed veggies..... L |
| There is a great web site that I have been referencing lately that has been a tremendous help. I have IR and had to start on Glucotrol. I decided to investigate weight loss surgery and found Bariatric Eating: Before and After. The site is as its name indicates for weight loss surgery folks but it has a huge amount of good information about eating high protien low carb. I have lost 25 lbs and stopped the glocotrol before I really got started by eating the "bariatric" way. They use a modified South Beach style diet. The site has a whole recipe section with lots a of good ideas. My A1C went from 7.9 to 6.0 over a couple months and is maintaining. |
