Have you checked with Pat Wolter with OES Southwest Rescue?
She's in Arizona-

Good luck with your search!
Call Pat, last I heard she had 4 !

Also try Jane in southern California. oesr@earthlink.net (email) or http://www.oesrescue.com/ web site
Thank you :)
Welcome to the community!!

Keep us informed of your search and success.
Good Afternoon,

I have never posted on this sight, however, I have spent many hours over the last couple years reading and learning about sheepie personality.
When I saw the post from Jason about a rescue home needed in Phoenix, I had to write.

I sent Pat an email a couple days ago, but haven't got a response yet.

If there is a need for a home, I would love the opportunity.

Best Regards,
Dorothy
Hi Dorothy... welcome!
Pat is often sooo busy. I'm sure she'll be getting back with you soon. :D
Please keep us posted on your search for a sheepie!
Thank you Jaci,

Let me know if I can help with anything. I live in West Phoenix.

Dorothy
There is also a telephone number posted for Pat in Arizona if you'd like to give her a call.

Have you ever considered fostering? You might also ask Pat if there's a need for a good foster home if this is something you'd be interested in trying. It would allow you to help a dog or two until just the right one comes along. You might also adopt the first one you foster... and THAT would be great too!

If I hear of any sheepies in Arizona that are looking for new homes I'll post them here.
Hi Dorothy,

Welcome to the community!

I have removed your detailed personal info from public view.
(If anyone would like to contact Dorothy, drop me a line)

May I suggest that you register here on the forum so that people can communicate with you directly? It's free, safe and we usually don't bite.

Good luck!
Thank you for such a warm welcome.
I will call Pat to see if she would have time to screen me for fostering.
I'm sure I'll end up keeping at least one.
Did all of you say that when you started? I have noticed that many of you have a heard.

Best Regards,
Dorothy A. Rego
Pat currently has 3 female OESs right now but they are not currently on Petfinder.

Dorothy, I had forwarded your post to Pat earlier this evening and she sent us both information via email. If you did not receive it, please let me know. It includes the OES Southwest Rescue adoption application.

And Jason, if you haven't yet found your sheepie, Pat may also have a dog for you. If you would like a copy of the adoption application, please register and I'll send you a private message with the adoption questions or you can email Pat directly. Note that Pat has suffered a personal loss so please allow her some time to respond.

I've corresponded with Pat through email and submitted an application. I heard of her loss  and I'm in no hurry to get a response. I'm actually hoping to find a male.

Yes, it all begins with one. lol I went looking for Violet and was lucky to adopt her through a Rescue. China was from a friend who bred Aussies and my friend talked me into taking her (best thing I ever did) and Asia needed to be rehome and I took her to look for a home for her and kept her. lol

If you look through the archives you will find a thread about how so many of us ended up with more then one dog. The tread is great reading. :D

Good luck in your adoption.
Good luck in finding your sheepie-boy, Jason.
