Kind of late notice, but there are 3 shows this weekend in Minnesota.

Friday is the Twin Cities Old English Sheepdog's specialty show. It is held at the Scott County fairgrounds, on the south side of Jordan, MN. Sunny (lucali) and I are both going to be there with dogs.

Saturday and Sunday is the Lake Minnetonka shows - both large all breed shows. Conformation is outdoors, rally and obedience indoors. Same show site as Friday.

Schedule for OES -

Friday: Ring 10 Obedience 11am, rally 11:55; Ring 6 puppy sweeps 1pm, regular classes at 2pm.
Saturday: Ring 6 at 12:45pm
Sunday Ring 5 at 1:45pm.

Stop by and cheer for us!

Yeah, that's what I tell Beaureguard when he begs me to stay home from work and play hookey with him & Genevieve. Someone has to put kibble in the bowl. Laughing

Cheering! We can't make Friday or Saturday to cheer- but we will be there Sunday!! Cheering!
That is great!
We need all the cheerleaders and good wishers as possible. Very Happy
It should be a real nice show, and the weather sounds decent Sunday as well.
Good luck Dawn and Chewie! We will keep all our paws crossed Smile
Good Luck Dawn and Chewie. Let us know how the weekend goes. We'll be cheering for you both.
I wish I could go. I have never been to anything like that so it would be so new to me. I have family things going on this weekend. Good luck!! Smile Smile Smile

The good news is there's one every year AND the OESCA national specialty is in MN this year Very Happy

Friday's report - (not so hot! Sad )
No points in the conformation ring,
NQ'd in Novice obedience (pretty much a long shot - he wasn't really ready)
But, got his 1st leg in Rally Excellent!

There's always tomorrow. Very Happy
Congrats on the RE leg!!! It's a long weekend. You never know. Are you entered in any other rally or obed classes?

I think Sunny and Luca may have achieved a breed first: BOB at the Twin Cities specialty and their second novice rally leg on the same day. Very Happy

When I talked to her she breezed by winning the specialty and waxed poetically about his heeling. Is she making the heeling part up or am I going to have to start eating my words and the likes? Wink

Proud of both of you and your boy dogs too!!!

Kristine
Dawn if it was not so far away I would of come with the Tim Tams to cheer you and the boys on Wink

Best wishes for the rest of the weekend, it's a long weekend here too, I did not go away, the rest of the household did but I am home with two pee machines till the potty training clicks. Twisted Evil

Rather be watching you and chewie, then home alone with two dumb dumbs. Rolling Eyes Laughing

Luca did get BOB ClappingPurple , but I don't think they did their rally class. It was getting too close to ring time for sweeps. She did prenovice obedience though for sure. He did do real nice heeling, and was watching her with those hilarius head tilts after each sit. Very Happy
We were in a pole barn (nice one), but the wind was awful and freaking the dogs out. None of the OES qualified in obedience yesterday, for assorted reasons. Maureen's Louis had trouble with the moving stand and long sit, Chewie didn't come on the 1st command on the recall, Pat's dog left the ring on the off lead heeling and Luca broke his long sit. Sunny and Luca got the award for the highest score though!

Chewie is in rally again on Sunday.
GOOD LUCH DAWN AND CHEWIE~~~~~~~~~~

BadaBing! Cheering! Cheering! Cheering! BadaBing!

Hm, I asked her straight about about rally. What were you people imbibing ringside that she couldn't remember which class she was in? Laughing Laughing Laughing

The national looks to be shaping up for similar conflicts. It's going to be hard to figure out who to enter in what Let Me Think About That

Good luck on Sunday. And with the fluffy stuff too Wink

Kristine
Imagine living where there are enough OES in an area you can have a speciality! sigh.

Sounds like fun.....have a great time!
Well, we made it through the weekend! Hot sticky weather, storms and wind advisories - we had it all! Luckily, it never was actually raining during show times.

No points in the breed ring this weekend. Sad

BUT, we had a great day in rally today. Chewie got his second rally excellent leg, with a real nice performance and score of 96 (out of 100). Very Happy

First and second place were tied with 98 points, third and fourth were tied with 97 points. In rally, ties in score are broken by time - the 1st and 3rd places were the faster of the two with the same score.

And Chewie was a happy bouncy boy, and had a ball being out there. He made OES look good. Very Happy Very Happy Sadly no pictures. LeAnne said she got caught up in watching.
I distinctly remember we wanted pictures of the outfit though - surely that could have been done even outside the ring Smile
Well, I think Gale was taking some in the breed ring. I'll have to see if she sends me any!
I do have one LeAnne took of awards in the rally ring - but that was casual clothes - in fact something I think I wore at St Louis. Laughing
