Charity Ball 2008

Well I finally got round to postimg some pictures (Sweetpea has kept me very busy and we got her the day after the Ball!) We raised money again for the PDSA ( A veterinary charity that funds treatment for pets whose owners cannot pay themselves) and EACH - a local childrens hospice. We raised almost £2,500 altogether which will be split between the two charities. We had a really great night - here is the room before anyone arrived

My youngest daughter (on the left) and her friend performed some classical duets as people were seated for dinner

My son-in-law became a human 'ventriloquists dummy' for our star cabaret Paul Zerdin - he was fabulous and very funny!

And presenting our cheques at the end of the night (Tony had already relaxed and undone his tie!)

We had a good night and I would love to have a table of Sheepie Lovers at the next one - hopefully May 30th 2009 - save the date!

verrrrry excellent!!!
Congratulations! What a great job.
Congrats! Way to go!
Fantastic! Great Job! Children and animals........if you can't support one, you can support the other!

Tony has same build problem as my husband......too much neck for ties and tight collars. I don't blame him for releasing the noose!
Great pictures - and a wonderful cause. Hats off to you and your family! :D
congratulations on what looked like a fantastic eve for VERY worthwhile causes :clappurple:
All of you looked so nice all dressed up. Wonderful job on the hall. It looks like everyone was having a good time.

Well done Karen.

We will try to get there next year but you will have to remind us early in the new year so we can book hotels, buy dresses, buy shoes, get the puppas looked after etc.
As soon as we set the date for definate I will make sure you all know! There's a great kennels near here so you could bring George with you (If he's happier to travel by then!) and we can all have an impromptu sheepie day on the Sunday!
Yes that sounds like a great idea!!!
I am so impressed that you put that all together! Such a great cause too, I wish I could have come!
Me too!!! Very awesome and well done!! :D
