A STAR IS BORN!!!

Those that know me are always laughing about my adventures in life. Stuff just seems to happen and even causes me to chuckle about it. I swear my comedy carries over unto my real life!

I've mentioned before in post that I teach part time but I'm also a professional magician, specializing in comedy magic. Christmas is the busiest time of year for entertainers with so many children's parties and corporate events. (I've been doing this for 17 years.) As a result I never get to attend my own parties or do fun stuff for myself the Christmas season. Nope 17 years of this!

This year is going to be different I thought! I'm only going to do one show and at last can have my pet photos done which are usually held on Sat or Sunday in Dec. In the past I couldn't even do this as I was too busy doing shows. Egads!! As luck would have it the pet photos are taking place the same day as my show! :?

The woman at the pet store says "why don't you just show up in costume and you can be in the photo too?' Yeah that's what I'm gonna do I decide.

I race home and grab Merlin (not even time to brush him) as there is only 1 hr left for the photo shoot and my three dogs. The parking lot is full so I park a block away. Now other people may be embarressed but NAAAAA not me...here I am in an elf costume...buck teeth, red nose and big ears walking down the street with Merlin. You couldn't miss us!!!

A car suddenly slows down and a woman pulls up and says I'm an agent and I would love to represent your dog in the movie industry. Heee heee!
See you just never know when a star might be born!

She waited when I had the photo with Santa done and then I raced home each time to get Panda and then eventually Blue. She thought Panda would make a great "character" dog.

Merlin has already been trained by someone that works with animals in the movie industry as it's always been my goal to have him someday perform on stage with me. Although, I would never even begin his "formal" training until he was three as he's too bouncy. Still this was exciting to me....oh gawd if he could just get a little work and help to support his "brothers" and "sisters" at home..I'd love it!!

Anyway I just thought the whole thing was pretty hilarious and wanted to share.
