No way Mum

Anybody any idea how to get a very spoilt one year old oes into his state of the art outdoor kennel he is not keen on it at all he will stay out rain hail or snow. We have tried everything even getting into it with him bless him hes just not having it. Living in Ireland we get a lot of rain so he really needs to learn its a a better alternative to getting soaked

they are suppossed to be weather proof:)
It is but hes not he refuses to enter it
I meant the dogs.
This guy is far from weather proof that would be fantastic. The most amusing thing about it he hates water figure that one makes no sense to us
No telling unless he associates his kennel with bad times. Once they turn off, it's hard to get them back in unless you are there with him....set up a chair and sit, read, drink tea but leave the door open. He may not join you initially, but gradually he may......if you eat something he may become so curious he enters. Then start feeding him is kibble in the kennel.......don't shut the door! He may take a liking to it....in time.
I think he is just not used to it we should have introduced it earlier thanks for the suggestion i will try it
How many days have you been trying?

Maybe he just needs to get used to it being there a while, I certainly wouldn't make a fuss about it.

Does he have a blanket of anysort, in his crate/bed? maybe put it in there during the day, it will make it smell familiar?
Hey....just pack it up and send it my way.

Dixies LOVES her little caves, and hideaways....We had to bring her crate to our camping trailer site and set it up with no door, out on the deck. She kept trying to dig a little place out under a tree or under the trailer..

I guess some dogs like little places and some don't.

I would start to put his meals in there, and keep putting secret "gifts" in there, like a bone, or Kong with biscuits etc...
Not in a millon years would we do anything thing to scare our little man if anything we spoil him rotten. He just loves his family and can't bear not been involved in everything we do thanks for all your help i'm sure we will get there in the end.
