I'm scarce this week for a GOOD reason :-)

Usually when I am not around it's because I'm up to my eyeballs in work and school but this week I am ON VACATION for three days, spending it with my daughter.

She is home form Utah for the week and we are spending some "quality" time together, Yesterday we stayed home, on the couch, in our pj's watching sappy movies and I taught her to knit. Today is shopping at the Outlets. I've even turned my ambulance pager off and told them I was UNAVAILABLE

I am sneaking a little study time in (30 days till my State exam) but for the most part these three days are just mother daughter time :go:

Great !

Enjoy your visit with your daughter. Love the outlet
shopping plan. Hope you both find some great bargains. Turning your pager off-priceless. Daughter taking you to lunch-lovely :D .

Have a terrific time!

So I read the title as "I'm SCARED this week" and thought "Ginny is afraid of nothing!" I'm glad you're SCARCE!
OMG you turned the pager off! It must be important! :P

Have fun with your down time. Your daughter might have fun quizzing you like you would have done when she was in school.
Have a great time! You deserve every moment....You're not really studying you are just "refreshing" your memory. lol
Sounds like a WONDERFUL three day plan, Ginny! Wish I could pin my own daughter down like that but she never sits still for longer than 30 minutes. And then complains because she doesn't have any down time - well DUH dearie!!

Enjoy your bonding time!
HAVE FUN!!
That IS a good reason to be scarce. Hope you gals have a wonderful time together. Nothing like Mother/Daughter time. I love it when my Mom & I do things together. 8)
Hi Ginny,

It sounds wonderful!!! I'm so glad you got to spend some "me" time and some "mom and daughter" time - you are so hard working and deserve to kick up your heels occasionally! I hope you have the best time!!

Marianne
Hopefully your daughter doesn't ruin your time off by driving you crazy. I have a tendency to do that to my mom. ;)

I miss the pj all day days!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad you got a breather!!
Enjoy your time together. :D
yey!! mommy/daughter time!!!! have a fantastic time with her....the only thing different that i would do, is skip the whole movie thing and go shopping EVERY day...haha.......nothing like bonding over the smell of cotton, mixed blends and leather!
good for you guys have fun
Have fun, Ginny.

Too bad you're going to miss IT.
Well, IT will just have to happen without me.

Here is an interesting story.....

Last night we were headed out for dinner. Despite my BEST intentions to avoid ambulance calls we were driving down the road not far from my house and almost simultaneously we came upon a log truck that was rolled over and the radio in the car toned out the accident.

OF COURSE I could not drive past without stopping so I pulled over and told my daughter to stay in the car. The driver was badly injured and I proceeded to care for him (I carry a "first in" bag in my car) til the ambulance arrived. Doug called dispatch on the radio and told them we had a serious injury and to put the helicopter in the air.

By the time my ambulance got there the patient was ready to package and transport to the landing zone. I was doing all my EMT "stuff" with my daughter sitting and watching.

It was a very busy time till the helicopter got there and left with the patient and I really didn't give much thought to Sarah sitting in the car. We had to take the ambulance back to the station, clean it and get it back in service and I had to d the "paper work". It was a two hour delay in getting to dinner.

But when it was all over my daughter was just amazed, she said she knew I was an EMT but NEVER really thought about what that ment. Now she knew first hand what I did and she was proud of me

You think all the time about being proud of your children but I never stopped to think before, how nice it was to have my child tell me they were proud of me!!!!!
You're not a real EMT until you wait 2 days before doing your trip sheets!!
Atta girl, Ginny! :D

By the way, WE were proud of you even when your daughter thought you were just a mommy.
WTG Ginny!! :go:

We've always been proud of you, but I can sure understand how rewarding it is to know your daughter is, too. 8)
My "mini vacation" is over :( It's back to the grind today. I am doing my last clinical day for school so won't even be near a computer to "catch up".

We had a great day yesterday, just hung out, wtached movies and knitted. PS I love you GREAT chic flic, I highly recommend it if you feel like a real weeper and wailer.
