What members seem most like yourself on this board?

I think about this periodically on here, so I thought I'd start a thread.

Are there 1 or a few members on the board who seem to be most like yourself ...whether it's b/c you think they look like you, share same beliefs, or have the same personality?

I've always thought mouthypf and tgir seemed to say or believe along the same lines as myself on many BIG topics on the food for thought forum.

Since I hate shoes, shopping, clothes, being a girl in terms of fashion, etc... I'm not sure I have a twin in that department.

Other than that, I've thought Tasker's Mom and I were a lot alike on many occurrences.

I hope I am (or someday will be) like Kristine in her balanced, thoughtful and informed responses to questions.

OMG!!! I thought I was the only one who hates to shop....UGH!! I own 6 pairs of shoes.....I don't have a ton of clothes...I do like the style's right now, but since I HATE to shop.....guess I'll stick to the clothes I have in my closet. 8) So Joahaeyo....guess you "do" have a twin in that department. :D
Hmmmm....technically I have a twin on the forum....she just never posts. :D

Besides that, I think it would take some thinking about. :lmt:
lol, well good to know b/c I can't talk clothes all day like many females. My husband asked someone who worked at Nordstrom's Saturday if she could find me a pair of jeans that fit while I was in the bathroom :( When I caught him, I told him my jeans from college fit just fine ...threw in a pffft, and said let's go.

although i admit i'm interested in trying on a pair of seven jeans. i keep hearing they would look good on someone w/my frame
I too hate to shop for practical things (clothes, shoes, GROCERIES, eye glasses, sun glasses, purses, cars...)

But love to look at and plan on buying (sometimes yrs in advance) expensive and very impractical things (jewlery, furniture, rugs...).

I read extensively and exhaustively. I am a nerd.

I hate being late for anything.

I can be ready for casual functions in 10 mins., black tie in 30 mins., and white tie in an hour or so.

Is there anyone out there as weird as I am?

I LOVE Seven jeans. They just fit my body really well except there is about 2 feet of extra material at the bottom---I always feel like I should get them cheaper since I don't need all that extra fabric! It's funny since we probably have opposite bodies....definitely try them on--you should try some at the store and them find that style on ebay...
I aspire to be like Marianne but I don't think I'm entirely capable

Although with much more sheepie experience than me, Kristine seems to say what I'm thinking quite often. And always puts the point forward more eloquently than I can too!

I have discovered in the last week I want to be Mandy, partly because she's slimmer than me but mostly for her grooming and teaching skills 8)

I would like to meet ravenmoonart and Ron. Well, maybe Ron
Nope, nobody...

And Ron's pretty cool in person!!!
I always find myself agreeing with Tasker's mom and willowsprite. I would love to meet them someday plus everyone else. Mandy is pretty cool and very smart. As for the picture why do our sheepies think they are lap dogs???? LOL
I have no idea, but what an interesting topic! :)

I haven't been posting nearly as much in the last year, so I haven't really gotten to know many of the newer members.

I'm a dog show addict, a genetics fanatic, a geek, mouthy (that part gets me into trouble on occasion  ), have no interest in fashion or so I tell myself and then someone reminds me that I don't really need a matching pair of shoes for every outfit  I hate shopping for stuff though, much rather shop online for pretty much anything.

Of course the one thing we all have in common is our love for oes :)
I'll go with Tasker's Mom, but

this really fits. NOBODY is like me! They broke the mold when I was born.....and wished they had done it beforehand.
ha ha ha--what if someone responds that they think they're like you, or share the same mentality, etc. and you're thinking NO WAY!! Not that person!!

But it's definitely interesting to see who people feel they relate to.

Awwwwe

LOL If you only knew how sick I was... After I left you I went into the stands and sat for an hour or two then I limped my way back to the train station where I collapsed (not literally, but close!) for another hour or two until it came time to catch my train back here.

I no longer have that beard, either! Although I kind of liked the way it looked.
Ron and Marianne are one and the same ...at least when it comes to humor most of the time!

<waits for another laffy taffy joke>
wow this is a great threat Mrs. J, I wish I could be like Maryann I love home improvements. I love it when my husband tells me "you the man"
I hate shopping, shoes but want to look pretty like Darcy. I wish I was smart and could spell but I'm strong like a guy instead  To be honest there is no one here that I dislike

Well I hope being strong would make this less of a threat to you ;) ;)

hehe, the internet allows us to blame our bad spelling or grammar on fat fingers ...or even drunk posting at times? ;)
Ron wrote:

Does that mean we can post a picture now?
God no.
His tummy was enough exposure, please!
Ron wrote:

Oh c'mon.....
we need a ronnie pic update!!

i already have a twin and we are still completely opposite....i find that even the people that i have very little in common with, i still can talk up a storm...

i like and respect everyone...but if i had to pick someone who was most like me, it would be steph, jill and ginny rolled into one person!

I get to be the head.

Hmmm......the more I know her the more I think we are VERY much alike....at least personality wise......I am just a tad more tactful.... :sidestep:

(um that would be me ).....for someone who CLAIMS they arent interested in fashion...her need to MATCH is EXTREME :lmt:
I don't want to offend any of the great folks on this board likening myself to them. :phew:

But I do love shoes and dogs. 8)
Mmmm, are there any other old, senile, half blind blondes here :D
bestdogs wrote:

YES!! :P
I'd have to say that Stacy ( Annie and Fozzie's Mom ) and I are probably the most alike. But I have quite a lot on common with many people on the forum.

I also do not enjoy shopping. I have about 6 pairs of shoes and no need for any more than that. Of the six pairs I probably only wear two or three. I have clothes dating back to high school. I buy clothes when I need them. It is always such a pain that my shopping trips are few and far between.
^^

you're 2 posts from 10,000!! woohoo!
I forgot Wendy58  .... she is my virtual twin.... born a few years apart.
We are scary in chat... always have the same responses.
Thanks for the sweet words and wow it was humbling for me to have folks say that about me. Thank you!!!!!!!!!

As for me, I often find something in common with many people on here. It could be health issues, or it may be we have similar jobs, could be our love of sheepies (okay that includes everyone) :D Could be similarity in creating things, renos, wisecracks, ect....so in a nutshell I find at least one thing in common with everyone here!!! I luv you guys! :hearts:

Marianne
Maryanne always reminds me so much of my sister Mary. She is a great lover of animals, even though she only has cats...but she feeds all the wildlife in her neighborhood. They even come and tap on her window to let her know they are there. She did get bit by a racoon at Christmas 2006 and spent the weekend in the hospital. All she could think of while she was there was that she had to get home and feed her wild life. She has a new house but does her own remodel, electric work ect. My hubby taught her most of what she knows and the other she read in "Do it yourself" books. Her favorite store is Home Depot. She has been divorced for a long time, like Maryanne and the dad bugged out as soon as he could. She has her Master's Degree in Nursing and Marianne works with the Special Ed Kids. Anyway, when I read her postings she reminds me so much of my sis.

8O I would poop myself

It's great to know there is more than one Marianne but it's a bit like finding out everyone's dad is santa, not just mine :?
Pepsi's Mommy is my younger slimmer twin. It amazes me how much we have in common sometimes...I just wish she lived a little closer so we could "not shop" for shoes together.
If there is anyone else out there like me - God Bless you and PM me and I will put you on the prayer list.
After reading a few more posts I find that I agree so much with 6girls in almost everything she says. She has even helped me understand the purpose and importance of buying from a show breeder when no one else could.
I'm not sure never thought about it before. I hate shopping HATE. In and out, I would so great on a free shopping spree. I do like purses, who knows why. Love my dogs. Like my teenages most of the time. I work to hard but love what I do. Hoppies is drawing but I have not done it in awhile with reno's and dogs at puppy stages, I will not dare. Starting to like gardening have to, I have 3 of them. Love quading. I do NOT feed the wildlife here because they will come to my window and then eat all of my garden that I hate doing. Hate cooking... acually like cooking hate the clean up. I also hate cleaning but do it because no else will and I HATE the mess more. Thinking cleaning lady once a week. Need to sneek her in when David at work. 8) AND I am beginning to hate reno's I wish I was Jennie in a bottle. Starting to wonder what I do like  sleeping in till 10 is good enough. hot baths in the winter. reading, drawing. and of course being with the dogs. weether out side with them or watching tv.
Hi ej, whats a reno?
renovations on my house. bought cheap but now the work. At the moment gutted half of the basement (walk in) and redoing for my hair salon. Walls now up and ready for painting :D then floor and ceiling I have been waiting for a long time to get to this point.
Oh ok I love reno's then  we're alike

It's a good thing we feel the same way...although I'm not sure that's always a good thing

I have found that I have much in common with Michelina (I Dream of Sheepies) and definitely feel an artisitc connection to her. She's my inspiration!

I feel a kinship to everyone that loves sheepies! I enjoy everyone all for different reasons and can appreciate different lifestyles and points of view. I haven't been posting much in the past year either so I haven't gotten to know the newbies much either, sorry :(

I also HATE shopping! I did purchase 5 pairs of shoes the other day. At a store that sells lots of orthopedic shoes. Wouldn't you know, they are starting to become stylish :D
Is there no one on here who lives to shop!!!!!!!

My goodness what do your sheepies do without constant new toys and leashes and stuff???

Doesn't anyone else have a closet for overflow of shoes and clothes??

geesh.
Oh, dog shopping is a completely different kettle of kibble. I could do that for days 8)
HAHAHAHA, I was worried when I first read this post, I thought OH NO it's going to be like one of those books you pass around in high school....... but this is pretty funny.

I think I share the same sarcastic wit (HAHAHAHAHA) of Mandy and Jill. I WISH I could be as nice as Darcy but usually I'm grumpy like...... hmmm, like GINNY  I always agree with what SHEEPIEBOSS says......

I'm an insomniac like Ron (yea I see you here at 3:00Am when we should BOTH be sleeping). I share Wyn's sentiments of "God Bless anyone like me" (I'll pray for you too).

Marianne and I are BOTH clowns and Dawn and I are both nurses. And Mrs. J and I share the same impatience with stooopid people. ANd Elissa and I share the same forum obsession (well Willowsprite too but she's a moderator so she has to post alot  ).
Okay, with my almost 5500 posts, have I not had an impact on anyone besides Elissa? :D Now I feel like such a drain.

It's a shame, isn't it?

I always preferred "nightowl."
Stacy, if it helps, I think Rufus is most like Fozzy  But maybe thats a different thread haha

Careful saying that, my big mouth might get you in trouble.

I don't know who I'd compare myself to, or if anyone would even want me to, but I see a lot of traits in most of you that I would like to have, or have more of.
