I wish I had a place to keep them. I would take them both...poor guys!
More Missouri dogs?!?! Lamar is in southwest Missouri...close to Springfield, I believe (maybe closer to Boliver). Is anybody looking into this?
I have sent the link to Becky in MO. I think several here on the board know her, maybe she can help. Or at the very least she can hopefully recruit. Better run George!
We have a Lamar Colorado also and thats what I originally thought it said. Caught my attention as that is where I rescued Lacy from so figured the breeder that I got her from had abandoned more. Makes my heart cry for these two but at the same time I am happy its not from the same home. I cant wait until my lease is up so I am able to rescue more.
If it had been Lamar Colorado I would have gassed up the dogmobile.... tho I'm sure Colorado Rescue would have beaten me there, LOL!
The poor things! They look a mess.
Good grief it is raining sheepdogs!!!! I just had my last puppy adopted ( ) and will not be fostering till after sheepie paloozia but a poor yellow lab in a high kill shelter in GA has caught my eye............OH MY!!!
Any word on these two? I just called the shelter and got the machine but I left a message with my name and number. I don't know why but I can't get these two out of my head...maybe I just need something to focus my attention on at the moment! HA!

If anyone has an update please share! I don't know exactly how much help I can be but I'll try!!

Tasha
Anyone have any rescue contacts in that area that could pull and hold for a transport?
I have spoken with someone in that area and she is doing Rescue all by herself right now. She has sheepies of her own, plus a sheepie that has just had a litter of mixed pups. She has her hands completely full.
$10 each  is there any other OES rescues working on these guys???

Ditto. I'd hate to see these two fall through the cracks. What can we do to help?
I have sent Becky an e-mail. I will get back here as soon as you contacts me back. Thank you for wanting to help!
Becky has contacted the shelter, but not received a reply. This is actually not OESRNSE area, so she is the one handling these guys. If you would like to help her out, here is her e-mail addy: beckyhinson@hotmail.com . I post this with her permission. She would greatly appreciate any and all help.
Foster homes are needed for these girls. Please contact Becky if you can help.
Girls??I thought they were boys ??
I sure hope they get great homes. They are cuties!

Oops, you are probably right. I automatically typed "girls" for some reason.
Has anyone heard anything about these boys? Sorry, just eager...I know Becky is busy...
Hi,
I have pulled a dog from this place for the Catahoula rescue just as the vet was there to put him to sleep. They euthanize quickly and the place is not much more than a dirty block shed. I was on Petfinder looking for a goat and poultry guard dog when I saw these guys, and looked up your organization to make sure someone knew about them.
Please act fast if you can. I would go get them myself for farm dogs, but know little of the breed or how they are with small farm animals.

Is Becky still handling these two? I don't want to step on any toes, but it seems like time might be of the essence on these two!
YIKES!! Thanks, Malinda for the heads up!

I heard from Becky on Friday and it was my understanding that she had found homes for them but the boys were still in the shelter while transportation is worked out. To be more specific....I think they will not be pulled unless transportation can be arranged to their prospective new homes in TN and NC. Again, this was my understanding and I could be wrong. Has anyone else heard anything?

Tasha
I haven't heard anything else...I'll email Becky again.
Becky is pulling them tonight.
We are working out transport to TN and to me in NC.
Any resonable transporters you know of would be most appreciated.
I will be trying to get my boy from Memphis, TN area to eastern NC.
Becky pulled the two boys last night. Said they are matted really bad and smelled but are so VERY sweet and friendly. Becky, Donna in TN and myself are thrilled! Thanks everyone!
You guys are awesome!
Yay!! I am so glad you all helped them out.
Is anyone coming up for Sheepiepalooza from the North Carolina area? One of these boys, Noah, needs help getting home to Wilmington, NC. He will be freshly groomed....so clean and smelling good for the ride home! If you have room for a rescue and can get Noah even a portion of the way home please contact Becky. Her contact information (posted at her request) is as follows:

Becky Hinson

Thanks!
Tasha

BTW- I'm going to post this again on a Sheepiepalooza thread just in case!
Tasha - see my reply under Play Dates.
Can't wait to see pics of these two snuggling on the couches in their new homes!
What is the status???

I have loaded some pics, not sure how to tell you to access them!
Ok, I found them, at the bottom of this page where is says OES photos.
Then they are down near the bottom listed under Rescue Dogs.
They should be available under your camera icon, under your post. :D
How is the other boy doing? Noah looks SO happy!
I haven't talked to Donna since Noah was picked up, she has Bo, the younger of the two boys. She said he was doing great the last I spoke with her. Both are great boys, very loving.
