My dog ate a plastic bag

She is just over a year old and weighs about 80 lbs. The bag was about 6x3 and was empty. The nearest vet that woud be opened today is almost 60 miles away. should I see if she poops it out or take her in? Thank you!

6" x 3" or...? Just one?

Sybil eats little bags all the time (ziplock snack or pint size)   She can open zippered bags (I mean real zippers) to get to - well, pretty much anything she wants. She even ate a small bag of small rubberbands. Clean up was...interesting. I'm considering having shelves put in at a min. 6 foot height...

If it's a small plastic bag - did she shred it and eat it? - and she's showing no ill effects...Me? I wouldn't panic. If she starts vomiting unproductively (no return of bag - though Sybil tends to - uhm - send process them right on through   ) and/or seems poorly, all bets would be off and I'd be off to the emergency room. But it's impossible to say if you're not there.

Hopefully it will turn out to be non-event.
