Isle of the Dogs - shampoo

I had posted awhile back if anyone was using Isle of the Dogs products. I have been using them since January and I have been having really good results.

Yesterday was a ringing endorsement day. Miley and I want to the dog park that is surrended by a river. She found a couple of dead fish to roll in  . Apparently she no longer remembered Leave It.

So after a nice game of chase and rolling in dead fish she got an unexpected bath. She was very stinky so I opted not to brush her out like I should and just put her in the tub. Well after a nice bath I was able to brush her out with out any major matts !!! For me that is a good product. Imagine if you did the steps in the right order.

I've used it w/excellent results. A lot of breeders on another board use it for their dogs. Scent lasts long, no static, and so soft :)
I have used the isle of dog products but I had one big problem with it.

I go to a self dog wash and the groomer asked me to try it. I loved it so much I went online to buy it. The problem they did not offer the same products I used at the groomer (Isle of Dog gave them free shampoo and conditioner for them to try.) Both were concentrated and you could dilute it 5 to 1 with no loss in strength or consistency.

When I emailed them to ask how I can buy the same product, they never emailed me back!!!!

IMO....

The products are very expensive and the shampoo and conditioner I purchased could not be diluted with water. I tried and both became watery and lost their strength.

---Recently, I have been using the Cowboy Majic products I order through Jeffers. Mostly used on horses, it is high quality products for a reasonable price. They have a whitening shampoo that makes them glow. And they have a condition that keeps they hair so soft for weeks after use. AND they have a detangler..you rub a little on a matt, wait a minute and the matt comes out!!!

When I received my order the gallon jug of conditioner had opened and some of it spilled in the box. I called them and they sent me another gallon at no extra charge which surprised me!!!

You may want to look into these products.....
I was considering the Isle of Dogs products too, but since this the third time in as many weeks that I've heard a recommendation for Cowboy Magic, I'm going to place an order right now. 8)
which of their products do you use? The white coat one? or the detangler? I saw at least 10 different ones.

Not sure who this question is directed to   ...so if it is me......

From Jeffers:

Brightening Blue Shampoo for Horses. dilute 1/16

Cowboy Magic Concentrated Rosewater Conditioner 1 gal.-- dilute 1oz. to 2 gallons of water

Cowboy Magic Detangler and Shine-Comes in a tube, it's gel, rub a little on the mat and wait a minute, brush out.

I don't dilute that much because I like the strength and the consistency.

I still use Isle of Dog Conditioning mist. #63 and I love it. I will buy this again, since it's a spray, not much has to be used since I use it after they are all groomed. I love the scent and it seems to stay on the hair for a couple of weeks ---Keeps the hair static free (in winter) and soft --it also detangles.
My groomer uses Isle of Dogs products, too. I haven't tried them on my own, but I like the results from the groomer. I've used both Cowboy Magic products on the dogs and the horses with good results. I also like the Chris Christensen shampoos. They're great, IMO.
I use cowboy magic too But have not tried the whitening shampoo Next time my daughter orders from jeffers I will get some.
For anybody who is looking for the Isle of Dogs shampoos sold to groomers, you are looking for the Stand Up shampoo and the Building conditioner that goes with it. The #63 detangle spray is awesome as well. You can buy these products at this website: www.iodogsga.com. This is a distributor website. You can get the 250 ml trial size which makes about 3/4 of a gallon to try them out. The dilution is 15 to 1. I use these on my finished dogs. On my show dogs, for show, I use the #20 Royal Jelly shampoo first lather, second lather is #16 White coat, then I rinse and use the #50 conditioner diluted 1 to 10 for a show bath. Results are awesome, and the white shampoo has an anti-stain component which means less bathing. Also, there is no peroxide or bleach so you don't end up with a yellow coat or broken coat.
Are these products available in Australia? If not, can any of the aussies recommend some products that are available here?
I use the cowboy magic as well - but buy it locally at the Tractor Supply Company
I love the above products b/c they seem to be easier to rinse out of dogs compared to "human shampoo" ...and then there is the wonderful smell, but now I just use regular shampoo (like pert plus) ...and get excellent results ...no dry skin, smell good, and a lot cheaper! :)

I'm doing the same thing. Fructise has been a great stand in while out of the more expensive grooming shampoo.
