Fun match question - SE Wisconsin

Nothing concrete planned right now -- just trying to figure out if there would be any interest in a fun match here in the greater Milwaukee area.

I'm thinking obedience and rally. A fun match is a practice trial. What type of match dictates how formal (close to an actual trial) the match would be. It would probably be for OES only (like the trials at our national are). No date in mind right now. I know we have some people in the area who are starting to get into rally and even obedience, some with competition in mind, so just curious at this point.

Thoughts?

LOL - well, she can play if it's an informal fun match. If it's a more formal AKC style one, I'd have to look at the regs.

Odds are we'd do an informal one, though, and open it up to friends of OES.

Also considering putting on a herding clinic which would definitely be open to other herding breeds, in which case Keira would definitely fit the bill

LeAnne says "of course Kristine - we love to drive across Wisconsin".

Should be this fall IF we pull it off. It's more for the people who aren't attending the nationals in MN, or aren't coming in that early, or who aren't bringing all dogs, so that should let you and LeAnne off the hook for trecking down to Wisconsin ONE MORE TIME, though you are, of course! always very welcome to come. :D

One of our local rescue people wants to have her rescue girl tested and I need to see how my youngest work, so we're going to try for an informal private testing session after 'looza. We're also taking some of the kids to try lurecoursing. Sybil tried it once as a baby and seemed to like it. I'd like to give Mace and Che a shot at it too.

Will keep everyone posted on whatever sheepdog related events come up in the area.

Well, just make sure you're wearing pants or at least a long skirt or something.

:sidestep:

Mace looks fabulous btw! Not matting nearly as much either, which means more trips to the dog park for her and less back break for me. I owe you. So does she.

I'm sure you'll figure out SOMETHING.

But just keep in mind I have no influence when it comes to what Dawn does with pictures... :P

I notice the other incident hasn't surfaced. Either Dawn is a nicer person that I am (well, she is actually), or she's saving it for something big.

I leave you with that thought, little missy :lmt:
