The dog gods were looking out for me!

It was late in the evening and I decided to check out job listings. I hadn't thought of looking for a second job but one caught my interest. Teaching ESL between 4-6pm at a foreign language school. I got to thinking..Petunia needs more surgery, Dusty needs to get full blood panel, Would like to get Panda's hips checked again - which means full sedation - ...and so on.$$$$$$$$$$ I love my special needs and senior guys but they come with hefty vet/med bills. So, I was motivated and wrote a cover letter via email at midnight applying for the position.

I arrive home at 2:45 pm. Sigh I must be the only person left on the planet that doesn't have a cell! There was a phone message asking, would it be possible for me to come in at 3 pm today as the job posting was several days old and interviews were been conducted all day today. I called back saying, "yes, I can be there, all the while thinking "gulp, I don't have a current resume handy and have 15 mins to change, type resume and get there." Luckily, the school was located aprox 5 mins away.

I was in a mad panic to try to get a resume done on my ancient computer and usual non working printer - the dog gods were watching out for me. The printer managed to print off one resume before the ink ran out. I race to the school with 5 mins to spare.

In case you're wondering :P I didn't wear my cool red rubber boots but decided to wear black shoes to match my dress.

The man conducting the interview said he had many applicants but I seemed so energetic and after the interview he offered me the job on the spot!!!! In reality, it was because I was probably huffing and puffing from my mad rush to get home from work, get resume done and throw on good job interview clothes. Gotta luv them dog gods and that great karma they bring!

I start Tues.

Well Done Marianne.

I don't know how you have the energy for two jobs and all of the things you do.

I hope you enjoy your new job
WOW! Well done! If only it were that easy to get a job here! :plead:

If I get an interview, I'm going to run some so I look energetic. No, actually I think I would prob pass out
I can't believe you got ready, printed a resume and still arrived on time. Holy cow, batgirl. I can't even decide what to wear in under 15 minutes.

Congrats on the new job. :P
Urg!!! I reread my resume last night as I saved a copy on my computer...egads! I wrote conversation twice instead of coversation, comprehension. My job will involve essay writing and english skills...more oopsies! Oh well glad they didn't catch it.

I was lucky to have found a dress (black no less) that didn't contain dog/cat or bunny hair but I probably had hairy legs - animal fur on my stockings, but my legs were under the table so thankfully was unseen.

I should study the dictionary for the next couple days as well......

Thanks again everyone!!

My nephew put together my two non working computers to make one working one and it often crashes when I try to download programs. Yes, spell checking is a must!

I need a new computer! One that doesn't have that stupid typing virus of course...(cough, cough)
