Thank You All

Rick and I would like to thank you all for all your condolences and kind words to us. We received Blues remains Monday, his ashes will be kept at least for now on the mantle of the fireplace with his picture and collar. This has been so very hard for all of us, but having all you guys who understand our loss has made it bearable, also the people from our obedience club have been so vey kind. When I get up during the night, I still take a giant step through the doorway, that is where he slept, still thinking I may step on him  I am trying to remember the 14 WONDERFUL years we had with him, and not dwell on the loss, but it is still so hard. Again we would like to thank you all for your kind words and understanding. Lorie&Rick

Lorie,

Been away from the forum for a few weeks so I did not realize Blue had passed on. My heartfelt sympathy goes to you and Rick. :ghug:
Time will help.

I remember after losing Jake how when I saw a pillow on the floor out of the corner of my eye and I thought it was him. All of the times when you find yourself expecting him to be there, doing a certain thing. How you find yourself thinking "If he were here, he'd be doing this right now."

How big a hole they leave behind...

The time will come when the pain will fade and the good memories will come forward; then when you think of him a warm smile will come to your lips instead of the tears to your eyes.
Well said Ron, that has made me cry...hugs to Lorie and family xx
I agree, very well said. That was beautiful Ron!

:ghug: to you and your family, Lorie.
That was beautiful Ron. Lori and Rick I wish you strength during this really tough time.
:ghug:
My condolences on the loss of your wonderful companion.
:( :ghug:
Hi Lorie,

I hadn't checked the Rainbow Bridge for while and I apologize I hadn't posted condolences. My beloved Ole Blue is also nearing the end of his life and I understand your grief and how thoughts from everyone that understand helps. My heart is with you in your grieving time and I'm sending hugs. Your boy was so lucky to have such a wonderful home such as yours that provided so much love in all his golden years. May he now be running free at the bridge.

...and they are wonderful years, aren't they? This, the price we pay for love. I am truly sorry for your loss. Each soul leaves an indellible mark on ours, and that spot is forever spoken for. There is, unfortunately, no way around the fact that time is in charge of healing.
Take care.
Sorry for your loss. It seems as if the house itself mourns their loss for awhile. Nothing is the same afterwards, but it will get easier.
I'm so sorry for your loss. This web site has been so good for me I hope it will be for you also. I have my Luaka's ashes back now too and it has
helped to know she is home. I have a little shrine on my shelf and so many people sent me cards. I have yet to find a great picture of my girl to put up there, but I will.
Lorie, I've been away from the forum for a while and missed your post. Please accept my sympathy.
