Get me out!!
There is a heartworm positive purebred sheepie boy that came in as a stray to the Jacksonville Animal Care & Control Center in FLA. Heart 2 Heart Rescue http://www.hearttoheartoesrescue.org/ has a hold on him & he will not be PTS. They just neutered him yesterday and will do the HW treatment sometime this next week. H2H is paying for the HW treatment. He came in as a stray and is approximately 5-6 years old. According to the shelter staff, he weighs about 70 lbs & is very matted but seems very good-natured.  They will try to clean him up as much as possible. They've vaccinated him against DHLPP and Bordetella and administered the heartworm test, dewormer and flea prevention. We do not have anyone in the northern part of Florida....We are trying to work out transport or a foster!  Is there anyone out there that would like to help H2H help this sheepie boy?

| i just emailed this lady letting her know my sis is willing to take this cute boy in.my sis lives in gainesville,and has expereience in dogs who test + for HW.Also my sister loves animals so she is willing to either foster or adopt. |

Jax is doing very well with his 2nd HW treatment He's also been groomed! Did great with that tooo! He's a sweetie! Have you spoken to your sister Heather about fostering? Give Kaye Fletcher a call or email her! Jax has to leave the shelter this weekend

Hi...Sorry I have not kept y'all up on this fella  Jackson was able to get a ride to Houston where he is in a foster! Jackson did well with his HW treatment & won the hearts of his rescuers. That's about all I know now! Thanks for your concern |

Tanya...Jackson's time was up at the shelter & he had to get out...it all happened very fast  Jackson stayed an extra week for HW treatment. He traveled well...I was worried about that since puppers really need to be calm after the HW meds! A BIG thanks for stepping up |
