Cruise Control. Do you or don't you?

I just got back from visiting my daughter at school. She's a 3 hour drive from here. Most of it is highway driving.

I never use my cruise control! I've tried, but I just don't feel secure with it.

Do you use yours?

Yes, but infrequently, both in the car and the motorhome.

In the car I use it just to give my foot and leg a break and stretch for a couple of minutes.

In the motorhome, for some reason it only works on level terrain. When it needs to downshift to go up a hill, something causes it to "take the foot off the pedal" while it shifts which is exactly what you don't want to do, and it gets very confused. Don't use it so much anyway, as I think it tends to lull people into oblivion...
I've used it a few times, but overall I don't like the feeling of not being in control of my car. The only times I've used it were on cross country road trips and I was in the middle of nowhere, like Kansas or someplace, that was super flat and straight and no one else was on the road with me.
i only use mine on long hauls....to san diego usually.....i love it...but i have to say that i turn it on and off a lot due to my fast speed and the slow speed of others 8O
I use mine a lot. I live 10 miles from town, and do lots of highway driving.
It has saved me from COUNTLESS speeding tickets!!!! 8O :D :D :D
I never use it when tired - like on my way home from work in the morning after my 12 hr night shifts, though. I also don't use it in heavy traffic or if it is snowing or raining.

I find that to be a problem too but i just learned how to spped up and slow down using the cc lever :0 I still don't use it much perhaps there is a control issue.....
I use mine even if I'm just doing down the street. So does husband!! We're addicts. Funny because I used to think hate it until I watched him use it. Love it and couldn't be w/o it now. :)
I used mine the other day for the first time. At one point I hit decel and it gained speed instead of slowing down. I turned it off after that.

For some reason Californian's don't know how to maintain a speed. So it's kind of pointless here.
What's Cruise Control??????

(does that answer your question??????)

Hubby uses it.........I don't even know where it is located,,,,,,but I generally don't drive really long distances.....
I use mine ALL the time because I do A LOT of high way driving. Yes it can save you from getting speeding tickets (if it is set close to the speed limit, not 14 above like it was when I was stopped. No ticket though. First time I had ever been stopped.) Wheeeewww. I do it partly because at one time I heard that maintaining a constant speed helps to save gas.
I use mine every time I drive on post......best way to NOT get a ticket on post as I have a hard time not speeding up, Sherman just drives too easy  They are really strict on military installations about obeying speed limits.....and they are usually ridiculously low.

ME TOO!!! It's the only way I can go 20 or 25 w/o speeding!
Constantly.....well almost. I set it at or below the speed limit to avoid getting another speeding ticket  I went thru a construction area the other day and had it on......my how the other cars zipped past!! Then I heard the police had a field day writing tickets that day........ 8) Not for me 8) Yes, I use it in the city for stretches that go for awhile w/o traffic lights. Of course I use it heading home outside the city.

Cross country, of course. Problem is remembering to take it off when entering known speed traps. Disengaging is a tap on the brake or flick of the thumb...no big deal. Notice husband uses it as well.....that's new.
Never, If I was to use it I think I would pay even less attention to the road

It's like she's being beamed from place to place. Amazing 8O

I rarely use mine, but my husband uses his a lot.

Oooo now that would be ideal!
Ha Ha Sue!!! or should i say "beam me up, Scotty..."

hehe
I do use cruise control but I am personally waiting on being "beamed" around myself -- that will be much much better!!
Oh me too! Maybe when we get to beaming about, they can program it to eliminate cellulite, wrinkles and other misc parts I no longer want.
