Nutro dog food

Hi all,

I dont know if some of you remember that I had to take Tony and London to the vet because they were having explosive diareaha for almost two weeks - well it turns out it was the Nutro dog food. I didnt realize that other dog owners were having the same problem...

Just now, a friend of mine found this on her Wheaten forum.. Thought i'd share it with you all

OMG that is scary I have just started mixing summers wellbeloved with nutro (sensitive) she is eating it. I am sure the wellbeloved is too rich for her..now I dont know what to do.
I'm feeding Nutro Ultra........hmmm, may have to switch. MO has had tender tummy for quite some time.......not the other three. I'll start looking around for something else.
I always have considered wellbeloved and nutro to be the very best for sensitive tums. Let me know if anyone thinks different please. Thank god I only ever buy small bags of the stuff.
We stopped feedin Nutro about a year ago. It seemed that they would bedoing finr - I'd buy a new bag and they would get the diarrhea again.
We went to Canidae and the Taste of the Wild and just recently gave up on the kibble and are rw feeding. dogs are doing great.
I am feeding Canidae Lamb and Rice. It seems to be much better than the regular Canidae on their tummies. I can't bring myself to buy Nutro since I am certain their canned product is what killed my Winston 4 days before the food recall.
Bella is allergic to the chicken, so lamb and rice it is for us. So far this one is working out.

If they would only stop eating kleenex, pennies (that would be Nigel, but I think they all came out in the end) and other assorted non-food items. Geez!!!
There's a few different versions of Nutro-- which one is supposed to be the problem?
I've never had any trouble with the Nutro either. Right now we are on Canidae in the rotation - have been for about the last 6 weeks. Mine have a gi thing going on now - on the Canidae. I think it is just a tummy bug though, not the food. So far it is Maggie, Riley and Tazz who have had the looser poops and accidents. This isn't that abnormal for Tazz (happens periodically all the time, no matter what the food is), but it is for Maggie and Riley.
oh dear, my guy is on neutro too, 12 weeks and that what the breeders had him on too (neutro puppy) i had plans to add ekuki (however the hell you spell that) med breed puppy at 4 mon as these were ranked so highly in the "points" link that was surfacing about a month ago.... do we have more info on what specifically from the neutro line is bad? perhaps its just the soft stuff..... :( now i'm worried! again! lol
panda has never had a problem on nutro ultra lamb and rice..only with real beef.....steak being the worst...
I have been feeding my three Nutro Ultra since the sheepie has had the diarrhea issues like so many others. They all love it, and Toby has done well on it. I got a $5 coupon for Nutro Max, so thought I'd try it, but stools got softer for him and today my Border Collie vomited six times 8O . Could be unrelated, but it does make you wonder. I am about ready to start making their food myself.
I would try the Canidae lamb and rice...you have to look up where you can get it though. I think we have tried every food on the market. Petsmart will refund money on an opened bag of food if you are unhappy with the food...I returned the Blue Buffalo twice...two different formulas.
