Who wants to guess: Boy or Girl?

I'm 19 weeks along now, and we're finding out on Friday morning what we're having! (hopefully!! I've heard stories about the baby not showing their "goods," so there's a chance that they might not be able to tell :P) I'm nervous! According to a bunch of old wives tales, we're having a girl. According to the Chinese conception calendar, it's a boy. I have no idea.

It's hard to believe there's a person in there at all, since I'm still not showing very much. The doctors told me it can take up to 5-6 months with your first one. I've gained about 7lbs though, so not sure where that went. :lmt:

I'm hoping for a girl! (I feel like there's more of a chance it's a boy though... don't know why)

GO GIRL!!!!!!!!

I'm so anxious to hear the results!!! I bet you won't be able to sleep as the day gets closer!!

Bought time you checked in with us and gave a baby update!!

I'll have my fingers crossed the baby shows him/herself

edit: btw, i can't believe that's all you've gained! I hate you!!! i didn't show until 7 months but definitely gained over 30 by the time i did.
Hmmmm . . . hard to say! I'm seeing pink, too.

Good luck on Friday and let us know!
Stephanie...SOOO glad you posted...I was wondering how you were!!!!!

I can't wait for the Friday post either......WHOO----HOOO!!!!!

I am an expert at predicting the sex of the baby.....

Wait a minute....I am getting "in the zone" .....Wait...wait.....OK...I have it!!!!!!

PINK,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and Blue :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
I think it is two of one and one of the other.
I remember both of my ultrasounds and the excitement. I was a little let down with Ryan because I was sure he was a girl. But super happy to have a boy. With my pregnancy with Hayley I was so ready to be told that I was having another boy that when they said a girl, I was shocked and VERY HAPPY.

I am going to say BOY

No way! They did an ultrasound at 8 weeks and there is only ONE baby in there! :o

I hope it's a girl too. And sorry I haven't checked in in a while. I changed jobs about a month ago so I haven't had much free time during the day. And even though I'm in the 2nd trimester, I still get really tired and usually end up going to be around 9. :P I feel like I could hibernate for months.

And Joahaeyo, you really didn't show until 7 months?? :o Geez I hope it doesn't take me that long. I want a cute baby bump. :( (although, I'm only 5'3 and petite, so I bet I'm going to end up as one of those women who looks like a weeble-wobble/bowling ball by the end...ha!)
I didn't start really showing until closer to 8 months with my first.
But at 9 months I popped. I looked HUGE the final two weeks.
Gosh I can't imagine all that pregnancy stuff

I'm going to say..... GIRL!

Good luck, keep us posted- oh, and we want pictures!!
Ok, I'm ready to be wrong but I'm going to say Boy!

Enjoy this time in your life. Soon you will start getting some energy back. Before you know it you will bloom and then have to deal with where to put you tummy when you want to bend over. :D

Good luck and will be waiting for the update on Friday.
Don't be too dissappointed if they can't determine sex this week. My son and his wife went for their 3D ultra sound yesterday (she is 21 weeks). Silly baby was totally unco-operative and despite looking for almost an hour they never could catch the baby in the "right" position so sex is still a mystery!!

Good Luck!
I'm voting for BOY! Only because it seems like I've heard of a lot of people having girls lately, so there has to be SOMEONE having a boy to even things out!

Yeah, I'm only 5'3" (actually 5'3" 1/2!!) and I only really started showing in my 7th month. I mean, I could totally tell, but others couldn't, and I got a lot of 'you're so small to be that far along'...I had my shower at 29+ weeks and wasn't that large. Now I'm definitely popping out. Here's a picture of me at 6 months...

I'm just now beginning to think I have the cute bump!

lol, you should see me now...not so cute! 8O
I'm at 25 weeks right now and definitely full on showing. It's really only happened in the last couple of weeks though. I went to dinner at my in-laws over the weekend and they hadn't seen me for a couple of weeks and they could not stop gawking and commenting. It's hard to go from normal looking person to spectacle in a matter of weeks, but definitely an experience I wouldn't exchange.
I'm going to have to agree with Barney and say that since there are so many girls out there right now someone has to have a boy!
I hope you enjoy your ultrasound. You'll be amazed at how much can be going on in there without you being able to tell from the outside.
Pink
I remember when we found out I was having a boy, we were driving home thinking what are we going to do with a boy. My brother was the last boy born in the family, with a 30 year gap 8O But we did fine and got one of each.
It's a.... GIRL!!! :D  :excited:

The sonogram was amazing! She is so cute in there. Everything looks good and healthy (bones, heart, brain, head, etc.). There was no guessing about the sex. lol  It was pretty obvious that we were looking at a girl. Even the tech said "That's definitely a girl." She's so precious! She's sitting upright right now and just hanging out. The sonogram person held the picture still for a while and we watched her move around. She's a real person in there! :D

And crazy enough, I am sticking out now. Today was my first day to wear a maternity shirt. Now we can start taking pictures of my bump. :P

I'm so excited to figure out our name and plan the nursery and start buying stuff. :yay:
Congrats on the baby girl!!! :D :D :D

Now the fun shopping can begin........... :D :D
CONGRATS!! I'm SO HAPPY FOR YOU ESP that she looks healthy

Can't wait for pics! I bet you look adorable~
Congrats!!!!!

I love little boys having two of my own and nine nephews, but would have loved to have a little girl. Sheesh all of you that have wee ones live so far from me, as I'd be begging to babysit. I work with them all day long but still love being around kids.

On a good note one of my nephews and his girlfriend has a baby girl and I take delight as did my sister and mom to finally be able to purchase a dress as a baby gift.

Most importantly is that they are healthy and that you are as well. Again congratulations to you and all your family members.

Marianne
