How do I know if I stripped the undercoat?

Ok, I always read the threads on stripping the undercoat. Have had the Mars rake for over a year, use it on Allie a couple times a month. But how do I know if I am getting the undercoat? I usually rake her whole body, just like running a brush thru her. Then I part the hair in the bushy/thick areas and rake her some more. I always have enough hair to make a pillow 8O
So is this what everyone talks about, stripping the undercoat???
Thanks!

If you are raking the whole body a couple of times a month, I'm pretty sure you've got all the undercoat!
I had a look at your lovely photos, to me, it looks lik the earlier ones have a much thicker coat? I think you are doing it right :D
