ANYONE EVER USE CRITTER RIDDER?

We are trying to train Wilby to pee in his very nice and generously large play and pee area. There is another section of lawn that i would like to keep him from peeing on. Has anyone used a product called Critter Ridder. It was highly recommended to keep Wilby from that area of the lawn, but i don't want to use anything that could irritate him.

never heard of it where do you find it? Let me know it you like it.
I just google it , it does say it will irritate when tasted and touch. I thought it of a smell thing. The touch would bother me.
We just used the leash to train Barney where to pee. We would take him there each time and wait until he went and then praised him. It worked pretty well. MOST of the time he went there  Then we moved and we're now working on a 'new' pee spot, but he's catching on pretty fast.
Sounds like Barney is a lot smarter than my little Wilby! Although we've had a breakthrough in potty training, he's 5 mos old and just figured out that if he taps on the door i will let him out. We've been attached at the hip for two months, me taking him out potty on the leash - to a potty spot - lots of praise, etc. and he loves his potty spot and goes right to it, but can't seem to help himself from marking other areas on my nice, new, beautiful SOD!!!!!

This is my first little boy, i've had two other female sheepies and they got it a lot faster - but he's really sweet! javascript:emoticon(':D')
ahhh, I think that's the first time anyone has ever called Barney smart!

Well, we didn't even get Barney until he was 6+ months old and didn't start to try and train him where to pee until a while later when we realized he was killing all our grass (I didn't care--it was hubby's issue), so maybe those extra few months helped him 'get' where to go. Especially since he wasn't fully housetrained for several months after we had him!

It takes time, but usually they'll get it. In the meantime, spraying down the grass where he's gone helps to not kill it as fast.
I just took one look at Barney and I thought "smart"! In his photo, he almost looks like he knows more than anyone else or at least something that he's keeping from everyone!

Thanks for the advice, i'll just keep trying. My husband has a fit about the grass, you'd think after 3 sheepdogs and 30 odd years he'd get with the program!javascript: ''
