Mixing wet and dry

My wife comes from a family that had Labs. They only fed their dogs Iams dry dog food. They only game them canned when they were older and beginning to have problems ( not eating enough). What is the point of mixing in wet food if the better foods... Nutra, Pro plan, Wellness have enough protein? Does anyone just feed dry food? I am leaning toward Nutra Max Puppy Dry.

Is it that we are just spoiling out dogs?

Several of my dogs eat only dry unless I have some extra broth or gravy...or sardine oil...for an extra treat. Many people believe your pups will be just fine solely on dry and their teeth may be better for the lack of wet clingy stuff.

I don't consider it "spoiling." Dogs like variety too. The trick is not to be so kind hearted they won't eat unless their food is to THEIR liking, just as children would rather eat sweets.

If your pups are content with dry, fine. Save the extras to those time you need to stimulate them a bit.
I only feed dry and my dogs have always been content.
The only time I have added canned is in a case when I needed a dog to gain some extra weight.

I fostered a dog a few years back with no teeth and I gave him only canned food.
I feed my dogs dry food. Sometimes, as a treat, I will pour a little gravy, broth or milk over their food. I have three very healthy girls and one healthy old cat. :D
I have never fed any wet food. Dry is better for them, it keeps their teeth clean.
