Exercise and soft stools

I imagine someone has had this problem. When we take Ralph to the dog park and he runs and plays he will often get a one-time instance of very soft stools. It doesn't seem to matter what time of day, whether he's eaten his dinner (usually at least an hour before), etc.

For example, today he had a nice solid b.m. when we got there. He ran up and down the fence 3-4 times, ran around with the other (herding) dogs (THAT was funny), and then went and had a really loose stool. Then off and played more. Then tomorrow morning, he'll have a regular b.m. again.

Any suggestions, thoughts?

Thanks,
ann

No suggestions...Only sympathy....Bosley is exactly the same....

Not only at the dog park, but ANYWHERE we go...He suddenly gets the runs and goes.....be it on someone's porch that we are standing on, or on a sidewalk in front of the ice-cream shop, or in the yard of someone we are doing a home visit for...

But definitely at the dog park....Like clockwork..
Hi Ann I would not worry too much about it, hopefully he will grow out of it. Just caused by excitement by the sounds of it. I use to get that with one of mine as a youngster, always a firmy then when we went to shows she would always have a loosey. She always got soooo excited at shows and all the other dogs around you could always guarantee when she went YUCK. She grew out of it as she calmed down more
Pepsi can be depended upon to have soft stool at the dog park.
I think it's all the excitement.

Actually it's not just the dog park, it's if I take him anywhere.
Same for two of my three. Running + excitement = well, you know.
I agree...Nigel always has loose stools at the park...he just gets sooo excited!!
  Summer does as well. There is me trying to pick it up with a plastic bag...sorry too much information!
George is the same. First stool is hard the rest are very soft!
