Maggie I crosses the Bridge.

Maggie I (after whom I named my Maggie) crossed the Rainbow Bridge after a struggle with bone cancer in one of her hips.

Some of you may remember Maggie's story and how I was first introduced to the wonderful world of Sheepdogs (For the Newbies: briefly, my son and DIL lived in Colo. Spgs with their two dogs (OES and GSHP) when 9//11 hit and he lost his job with Drury Inns when the tourist business went south. They then moved in with me and I fell in love with their OES - Maggie. Unfortunately they felt they couldn't give the dog proper care and attention and offered her to a good home which turned out to be a good friend of mine who had two small children. The family was part of a large clan of many neices and nephews and parents that adored her. She lived the life of a queen with loads of attention and the best care and grooming an OES would ever dream of).

I just learned of Maggie's passing this morning. In the course of the conversation, I learned that the friends (Michelle and Pat) are very much interested in adopting another adult OES rescue. I have referred them to our forum and expect they will be visiting it as a guest. In case you hear from them, you know the background.

I'm sorry for your loss, George. It is amazing how much they mean to us even when they are members of your family only for a little while or "just" acquaintances.

Give your pups an extra rub for me.

George I am so sorry for the loss of Maggie 1 please pass on my condolences and I am sure she will be sorely missed. It's never easy when fur babies have to leave us.

I hope they find another sheepie to love and adore and george thanks for the story of Maggie 1, I did not know your sweetie was named after her, what a lovely legacy for Maggie 1 to have in her memory.

May the memories of her flow strong as the sadness subsides and bring comfort to all.
Sorry for your loss. Maggie is a beautiful name that fits a little sheepie girl, especially yours. I'm sure rescue will be able to place another beautiful girl in their home soon.
Maggie sounds a beautiful dog. I am sure they have sweet memories of her. There is another sheepie waiting just round some corner...
Hi George,

I'm so sorry for the loss of Maggie and to all that knew this beautiful girl and are grieving for her. She was loved, that's clear from your description, and perhaps in time her people will be able to help yet another. Never to replace as each are so unique and special, but to honor her kind.

RIP Sweet Maggie. You left your pawprints on many hearts.

Marianne
