Mojo allergy treatment update

I have been taking Mojo for alternative allergy treatments since February.
The results have been remarkable!!!!!

We have been struggling for two years trying to figure out what the problem is. He would get terrible sores and infections. He would rip out his fur and scratch to no end. We even had to clip him down a year ago because the sores were so bad. It seemed he was always on antibiotics and steroids or benadryl. We tried different foods and even the raw diet. Poor guy was miserable.

I took him to a traditional dermatologist. Their solution was to expose him to all kinds of allergens and then put him on shots. The shots would be 1-2 a day for the first month or two and then 1-2 shots a week for the next year. I knew when I left there that it was not the route I wanted to go. I was so happy to find a more holistic solution.

The treatment is similar to accupressure. There are no drugs involved and only takes about 10 minutes a session. Each time he goes in, she treats him for 2 or 3 of the things he is sensitive to. It just depends on how receptive he is that day.

Since we started treatment he has had only one minor outbreak. His fur is filling back in and he rarely scratches. I could not ask for more wonderful results. Ronnie has always been kind of skeptical about alternative medicine. I think he is quickly becoming a believer. He still calls her the Voodoo Doctor but marvels at how well Mojo is responding. Now that spring is upon us I have to take in vegetation samples from our yard. She will test him for sensitivity and hopefully head off any reactions.

Out of curiousity, what is the discipline called? A friend of mine goes to a regular vet who also practices some kind of alternate medicine - I can never remember the name - but he has incredible results. She first went to him when regular vets told her then 9 1/2 year old was in liver failure and there was nothing could do, she'd be dead months. She lived to be 13 +

We refer to him as the Voodoo doc too.

Interesting! Is this a vet that does it? I might have to look it up for Barns...
It is called N.A.E.T. It stands for Nambudripad-Allergy-Elimination-Testing.
It is done by the vet. She practices traditional and holistic medicine. Not all holistic vets have been trained to do this procedure. She is the only one in central Indiana that is doing it for animals. I'm not sure how to go about finding someone in your area. I was lucky, my sister found her when she was looking for someone that does the treatment for people. I can ask next week when we go back for another treatment. She may be part of a network and can give me more info.
I highly recommend it. It is truly amazing the results we are having.
The web site to find a N.A.E.T practioner is
www.vetnaet.com
There are very few in each state and I didn't go through and see if every state is on the list. Hopefully those of you who are looking will find someone close.
darn no body near me!
