| This topic is available here on forum.oes.org | We get to the playdate at the daycare center today, open the back of my SUV and say "wait"...They don't. Zoom, there goes one and zoom, there goes the other one. Fortunately in the same direction and not toward the busy street. They are running toward the back of the building with Randy flipping out and me following behind (not flipping out). Behind the building is the fenced in area for the daycare and there are dogs in there. I saw that and knew they would stop to smell the roses and we could get them there. It was kind of funny because alot of people saw the scene and both dogs were known after that as the "escaped sheep dogs".
The placed was PACKED with dogs and their people. Simon kept checking on us but Gar was out to have fun and didn't care who got in the way. He was everywhere on the prowl for running dogs, he would chase after them and nip them on the butt. I think I have a herding dog here.
It was amazing that with soooooo many dogs there were just a few tussles. A little growl here and there because of this or that but no fights. Doreen came with dh, Dolan and the horse that they claim is a sheepie. Man that dog is BIG. I thought there would be a few more people with sheepies but not while we were there. It was cold, brrrrr, and no place to warm up so we only stayed an hour. Simon was glad to see Barkley(Hey I know you!) and the two romped for a little while but it was crowded and they lost track of each other.
Hopefully next time it will be warmer and there will be more sheepies but we still had fun. How can you not have fun with dogs running crazy every where. |
