I'm getting a baby fursister! And Barney will be an uncle!

At least, I think that's how it works out (relations-wise)...

My parents are getting a puppy this weekend!! So I will be sure to update y'all with a million pics. She is too cute (I got to meet her when I was in CA the other week) and seems really sweet. And so little! Like the size of Barney's little nub (not really, but she seems that small!)

It's been 10+ years since my parents had a puppy, so wish them luck on housetraining and sleepless nights

:lmt: I think barney will be a nephew...not an uncle....since it is your "sister"

An OES of course! Who do you think started my obsession with sheepies  ?

Okay, fine, Barney will be a nephew. But uncle sounded more regal.
You're getting a sister and he's getting an Aunt. Aunt's are cool. :P Ask my niece & nephews.

Can't wait to see pics. :D Do your parents realize how much fun they're in for in the next few months??
How exciting!!!

I didn't think anyone would catch on to that...

My parents brought their camera and so they are in charge of the pictures and my dad is s.l.o.w. in emailing them to me. I'll email him again right now and see if he can send at least one.

She's coming tomorrow afternoon. My parents went out last night and bought her new food and water dishes, a new leash, a new stuffie, and I'm sure tons of other stuff. I just hope she doesn't get lonely. She was surrounded by a LOT of littermates. My mom plans to take her to work with her (she's the dean at a middle school, so there will be plenty of attention!).

I can tell they're excited and nervous--nervous mostly at the lack of sleep they'll be getting (well, my mom anyways).

Oh, and my mom wanted to know if it's okay that the breeder is taking them all to get their shots and dewormed on the same day she's coming home to my parents, and if there's anything with the deworming they need to look for? (My parents got Maggie at 4ish months old so all this had already been done by the time they got her)
How exciting, Steph! Did you tell them we're all anxiously awaiting pictures?? Did you announce her name yet? :D

I can't think of anything special regarding the worming or shots that they'll need to know. It shouldn't be an issue other than she might be sore or tender where she gets the shot. :?
Puppy pick-up has been delayed a week. Due to parents' schedules this coming week they decided it'd be better to get her next weekend instead...

Nope, no name yet, either. They have to wait and see what she 'is' before deciding!
PUPPY COMES TOMORROW!!!!
How nice for you - especially the part where you aren't cleaning up after her :)

Our puppy went to day care today - think hubbyhad enough already of cleaning out the crate after work!

I'll get to it I've been busy.

Tomorrow is herding with the sheepies but sunday is supposed to be raining and yucky and all I have planned is sending out resumes and job applications. of course if it turns out nivce Marley may get her first kayak ride - I believe we can do this.

Touche!

Well, I no longer have an excuse since the lake in my backyard is gone, so...otherwise you and Marley could have come out here for your kayak adventure.
