I keep getting outbid as well....so I'll just keep bidding!
I tried to get one of those Sheep. :(
I bid a few times.... but I can just pick one up at the store....
So I will let someone else win.

Aw, that's not the point of the auction! :-(

Get out there and BID!!! TOES does great things for so many OES. Please bid on something even if you don't need it! I am. :-)
I tried to do my part. I bid on something I wanted and when it got to high, I stopped bidding.
I know TOES does great work, that is why I bid in the first place.

I'll have to go back and look again.
I went and bid on a few things. :D

Just an FYI - the 1st potholder decription says it is a hand painted Bill Blass jacket. Huh????
My hubbie taught me some of the professional tips to ebay - I win every bid! Just decide the highest price you will pay and only put it in the last 45-60 seconds. No one else has time to respond and so you win. It's easy - shhhh it is a secret. lol.
Yep, I saw a few of the descriptions got crossed up. I guess that happens when a lot of items are being posted at one time and in a hurry. I think that description you mentioned goes to the denim jacket with the sheepdog painted in the back.
No matter how much the item goes for - remember it's a donation to help dogs in need at Tarheel OES Rescue. :cheer:

Think of it as donating to a great cause and getting a *free gift* with your donation. What a fun way to donate! :D

Happy Bidding!! (unless you're bidding against me) ;)

^^^

it's my experience there are people way more advanced and people who do that lose ;) you have to bid the last few seconds if it's a popular item. the last minute leaves too much remaining time.
It would be way fairer to the seller to extend the auction by 2 minutes every time there is a bid. This would allow the seller to get actual free-market value for their item as opposed to someone who was willing to bid more be shut out by a last instant bid.

Since eBay is paid for by the lister, you'd THINK they would do things to maximize their customer's profit. Just another way they are an evil company. ;)

On the other hand, I happen to know someone who has put in a very hefty bid on a particular sheepie auction item and she would be very happy if she won with a lowball bid. ;)
Let me just say how much we appreciate everyone bidding in this auction!! :clappurple: Today's the last full day, so be sure to bid on the items you want. :P

As for TOES, we're looking at a very busy spring. Seems like dogs are coming in from everywhere and they all have to be spayed, neutered and brought UTD on shots, et. Your donations make it possible for us to continue our work. So, let me again say...

THANK YOU!!!
I know its for charity but if we win more than one item will you adjust shipping?
Yes. :)
I'm back to bidding. 8)

That is called SNIPING (it's no secret) and I REALLY hate it when people do that. BUT, it's a very common way to buy on ebay but as a HUGE ebay buyer I never do that. It just seems mean to me. It cheats the sellers of what they actually might get if buyers were actually allowed to bid til an "agreed" sale amount was reached and cheat buyers by cutting them off before they have reached their maximum bid. If I find something I want on ebay I put my bid in at the maximum amount at the time of my initial bid and then just don't bid again.

Overstock.com had a great way to deal with "snipers" that makes it more like a "real" auction, if someone bids in during the last few seconds then they automatically extend the auction, just like a REAL auction, so that the selling price is what someone is really willing to pay.

The ebay system is set up to encourage "sniping" so please don't be offended that I don't care for it, MANY people do it, I just think it is a downfall of the system.
WOW...those Zanies sheepies are a popular item
I have 3 of those sheepies right now. Better to raise money for the rescue, but if not you can get them on petedge.com.
There are some beautiful drawings and artwork up for bid. I think I am going to bid on the earrings later tonight. Really nice stuff on this auction.
Shame on you Wendy!!!
I bid on an item. Obviously that is if you don't get what you want...THEN you can try there after. The donation to rescue is the most important aspect of this auction. If you are constantly being sniped, then bid higher...or just donate your high bid to the rescue. If I get sniped of the item I bid and I miss it, then I will just donate my high bid to Tarheel OES rescue. It's very easy to do with Paypal. I didn't mean to get the wrong message across.

I know you meant to buy from Petedge after the bidding if you saw an item to get, but got outbid.
LOL - no Wendy, I meant I was also bidding on the earrings!!
Ohhhh...if I win, you can have them for 6 months out of the year. I do have a birthday this month, but I already bought myself some sheepie salt and pepper shakers.

I am at my max bid on the earrings. If I get outbid, I will just donate. Either way, everyone wins. :D
Uh! Ohhh!
It's getting closer! If you haven't already, check out the auction and get your bids in. :excited:

I'm "winning" on three items right now. Woo hoo!

Happy Bidding and Happy Donating to TOES!
I am winning on the earrings...still time to outbid me Dawn.
I just had too much fun on ebay 8O
Last hour to bid!!!!
Just remember all those sheepies that TOES helps!
ok who got the earrings
and my two prints
  I won the earrings but only won one of the sheepie toys...will have to see if Oakley and Sydney will share!
It was me!!!! I always wanted some sheepie jewelry. I was going to donate in Jean's name if I didn't win...just upped my bid before I left for the gym. :D
Ok...were there more than one pair...cause I just paid for mine????
Yes, Wendy, I believe there were two pairs of earrings. :D

Thanks, again, y'all.
Cool. They are very cute and I am glad to help out. That is a very good idea...all the rescues should do this.
LOL - you beat me on the stud earrings!!
A whole whopping 50 cents. Guess I should have popped back in.
But I got some stationery and the mouse pad. I have the same print as the mousepad on my corkboard next to the computer - so I really wanted it!

That was when it was new - it is full now.
That mouse pad surprised me by how bright & colorful it is, Dawn. I thought about bidding on it and I don't even use a mousepad.
Cool Dawn...guess you will need to let me know when you want you 6 months of earring wear. lol :D

LOL - What a concept - shared earrings halfway across the country!
Sorry Wendy...I was so excited to win the earrings that I forgot to mention that they were they dangling sheepie ones....but I'm still willing to share !
I didn't even see the dangling ones. LOL. Glad we both won!!!
I would like to point out that someone outbid Joan for one of the pair of the earrings. ;)
Must have been the dangling one...I outbid Dawn by .50. :D
