Feel Free To Shoplift
The woman didn't look at me when she made the announcement but rather spoke to Merlin. Oh boy!!! You mean it!!! I know he was thinking that...least I think so by the sudden happy expression on his face. I bought a small bag of food as I didn't have my car and had to carry it home. I was retrieving my wallet and Merlin was sitting calming down beside me. Suddenly I look down and realize he's walked away and spy him happily munching on an assortment of items...oops! I rushed over and picked up the gummy mess...an assortment of all kinds of treats which he licked others he took a nibble on to sample. The elderly store owner didn't seem upset at all.."oh no dear..I told him to shoplift and he was listening to me," she replied as if it was the most natural thing in the world. I offer to pay for the items and she refuses payment..nope I told him to do it, she repeats. Now I'm thinking this is the smartest store owner in the world as I was just buying a 14 dollar bag of food. Since she was so nice and obviously enjoying watching Merlin while he finished his gooey mess I picked up some other items. Things like a halo and santa hats for the dogs and nice collars for the cats. Yup smart business woman she is...as I ended up paying 34 dollars for items I bought cause I felt quilty. Ha Ha!!! | Ha! That's a great idea you guys!! Wonder how much training it would take to teach him the difference between zirconia's and real diamonds!
Since I bought him a silly halo at the pet store, I'll make sure he wears that too so they won't suspect him!
