Sheepie Stalking

Toby is 16 months old and plays non-stop with Molly, our 3-year-old Border Collie. They have been BFF's since Toby first arrived at 8 weeks old. They're always entertaining to watch, but the funniest thing Toby does is "stalk" Molly. He's done this since he was a little puppy. He'll stand and stare at her for a while from 6-8 feet away, then start moving toward her v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y, one sneaky step at a time, putting each paw down very carefully just like cats do, then finally -- pounce! And it's off to the races with both of them. Of course, Molly sees him coming and just ignores the whole drama.

I keep telling my DH we have to get a camcorder, but of course it would be in another room when we needed it (just like the camera always is).

Sounds funny! I wish we could see it. But I completly understand about the camera. Mine is always in another room when a wonderful photo opportunity arises.
How funny! Hopefully you will be able to capture his antics on film one day.
Oh How Funny..... Baloo will do that to our CAT and the cat will watch him doing it and they are almost having a staring contest -- except Baloo is moving towards him!!

I may always have the camera within arm's reach, but of course when all the funny things happen it will not have any batteries!!
LOL!

We also have a Border Collie and a Sheepie. But it is reverse with us-Murphy, the BC stalks Guinness, the OES! It is so funny to watch, but you are right-the camera is always in the wrong room!

Aren't these two breeds great together? When Guinness gets lazy and just wants to snuggle with us, Murphy gets him all reeved up again!

You gotta love it!
Haha! Our sheepie does this to his toys  I say "Quietly... don't let it hear you... " and he tip-toes, balances, rocks forward & back a few times on his toes, then....POUNCE!! I got it mummy!! Clever boy :D
We call it creeping. If you look their way, they just freeze - like that makes them invisible.
sounds so cute, would love to see the action :D
Oh yeah, the BC and the Sheepie are quite the pair. Each other's instigator, although the BC is clearly the brains of the outfit.
That sounds adorable -- still a video of it would be so cute... It's funny to think of a OES "sneaking" because ours (Mona Lisa) sounds like a horse coming through the house.
