looks like derby hope she doesn't fall through the cracks

Is it just me or does she look more like a beardie (or oes maybe) mix that a Kom or Pyr?
She's still a baby. But yeah, her face is a bit soft for a Pyr......I can't speak to the Kom side. She is absolutely lovely........phew, glad it's far, far away.
She's a dollface. I sure hope she finds a nice home.
i just read they only have a short time there couple of days and the fee is 30.00 /oh this is so sad wish i lived closer Crying or Very sad
The Kom/Pyr mix is a popular mix throughout some of the southern states for guarding purposes. There was one guy actually breeding them for awhile. Sad This one does look like a young Komondor with a Great Pyr coat so she may be one of those.
Does anyone know a Kom/Great Pyr rescue in that area?
I think Kom rescue will only take purebreds but the person to get a hold of to ask is Sandy Hanson with the KCA. They should be able to advise.

She is such a cutie...we used to have a Sheepie/Pyr mix that came from a shelter in GA.
We had another foster boy of the same mix from TN...
They are popping up all over the south....I hope she can be adopted, she does look sweet!
(Does Derby want a sister??)

There's actually a young purebred boy in rescue, too. Unfortunately, an group inexperienced with the breed got him first, thought he was matted and shaved him to the skin. Sad Everyone keeps calling and emailing me about him but I'm on a dog break for awhile though!
Sometimes you just need a break!
It is soooo understandable!
Where is the other boy at?

I think someone from MASKC (Mid Atlantic States Kom Club) has him. Getting a rescue in that young is really rare. I was lucky to get my guy at 5 months because an idiot owner that decided to ignore Kom rescue, despite their best efforts, and go to the pound, where he was picked up by another rescue who misidentified him. When they posted him on Petfinder, the Kom people were like "Hey! That's the dog we were trying to get!" So, the two rescues wound up working together. It worked out well because the experienced Kom person was able to do the actual placing.
