Help me choose the eye color of my new puppy

I will be getting a puppy soon and I cant decide between blue eyes or brown. They all have "snow caps" and 2 have flashing, which I dont care for.

Eye color should be the last thing you think about. Far more important is physical soundness. A poorly bred pup will cost you thousands in vet bills for all sorts of structural problems and pain meds when they get older.

For awhile there it was thought white heads and blue eyes were automatically a deaf dog. Deafness isn't limited to those markings as we've found. Make certain your pup can hear, it is becoming a real problem with hobby breeding.

There are other problems with sheepdogs. Go to the OESCA.org website and read up on them before you get the pup. Many, many questions to ask the breeder. Any breeder pushing eye color probably hasn't done a thing about producing physically sound pups.

Some people prefer blue, others brown. I've had dogs with one each. It just doesn't matter to me.
after all the questions and answers during the research process and you are happy with the breeder and are confident in the health of the pup, do you have the option of looking at the pups first before deciding? They say eyes are the window to one's soul. You will find a special spark in the one that is meant to be yours.
In my opinion, eye color does NOT matter. As long as you are getting a healthy puppy you will be happy no matter what color the eyes are. You will think your puppy has the most beautiful eyes anyway!! You will not be able to imagine life before those sweet eyes looked at you!! Enjoy your new baby!!!
I know that the first thing many think about when getting an OES is eye color and markings, but this may be another way to go:

How to pick the RIGHT puppy
The best way is to let the dog chose you. If you have that option.

I would also be concerned about a breeder that advertises "snow caps".
No reputable breeder would be advertising that.
I would definitely check out an OESCA breeder especially if you want an healthy dog.

Right, such a lame advertising incentive.
I just wanted to say, it is true this should be the last thing you look for however we chose our puppy early, before the eyes were open so we kind of did it with markings. This was only because we did our research (over 3+ years) We met both the sire & dam and fell totally in love with their temprements. We researched the breeder carefully too. Rufus turned out to be the MOST energetic of the lot, I believe we would have chosen him on personality anyway because we wanted a lively dog (what the hell were we thinking) If you have a choice, match the personality to yourselves. If you are unsure, ask the breeders advice NOT based on markings/ eye colour.

Good Luck! :D
Hope, we are not picking on you, please don't be offended. We want you to have a healthy dog, that's all. When you can spend less time on medical problems or temperament, your life with your fuzzy butt dog will be all the richer.

If you read thru other posts about breeders, you'll see there are some who just don't care and others who go out of their way to produce quality pups.

Good luck in your decision. I'm sure you'll be pleased with any eye color, blue, brown or one of each.

As for head color, once again, it just doesn't matter to me. They are beautiful any way they come out.......and some are just comical.
