What is it with this dog??? I went to the dog park today and the dogs were having a blast. Met a friend and we went walking in the woods. Since the snow is sooo deep we have to walk single file to stay on the path. My friend was walking in front of me and she is taller then me(not hard to do), so it was hard to keep an eye on the dogs. There was a man behind us with a golden and then we met up with someone who had two dogs. For a few minutes it was a logjam of people and dogs. We started walking again and Simon keeps coming to check to make sure I was still there. I figure Gar is in front of my friend. After a few minutes the man behind us asked me if I didn't have two dogs Where is Gar??? I look past my friend and no dog. The man said he followed the other dogs. I reverse course and start calling loudly and whistling, and no sign of him. I'm starting to get worried. Keep walking and calling loudly. Finally I see him running up a side path toward us. My heart settles back into my chest.
Its been a long time since I had a dog who doesn't care if I'm alive or dead. Taylor(RIP) always had to know where I was and Simon, even in crowded areas is always checking to see where I am. As I was getting ready to leave the dog park after being there for more then an hour, I watched Gar. Got Simon in the SUV and just watched from behind the car. He never even missed us. It took about ten to fifteen minutes for him to notice we were missing. |

Oh boy, that Garfield is a mischievious soul! The kind that gives one early grey hairs. Kinda like kids in some ways...there's always one that makes our heart do a bit of flip flops but we love them just the same.

I can't wait to meet Garfunkel at Sheepiepalooza. He sounds a lot like London. To much to do, to much to see, and what do you mean it's time to go? Huh? |

At least he did notice you were gone. |
