I rescued a puppy. I think she may be pitbull/german shepherd. Could you please look at her picture and tell me what you think? I would appreciate it.

Well.... I can tell you what she probably is NOT: Old English Sheepdog. Wink

Maybe the pit/shepherd people would know better?
I think that might be an accurate guess on the mix.

If you want to know for sure, you can buy a mutt DNA kit:

Amazing about doggie DNA! This is all new to me and so I had to google. Can you believe it a chihuaha and a yorkie are rhodents, not dogs. Phew!
Hi,

Congrats on your new puppy! She's adorable!

I looked at all your photos and I agree she's a mix. I think it could even be Pitty and Lab regarding her coloring. It could also be a Golden Retriever due to her coloring and while there are some similarities in the face to a Pittie you can tell she's not 100%. The purebreds are much larger/wider face bone structures while hers is narrower. I don't see much of the GS in her so am leaning towards a Lab X.

When she's had all her shots (usually they are all done by the age of 12 wks) make sure you take this little one around lots of dog parks or places where she can be properly socialized with canines or all ages and sizes. It's a bit unsafe to have her do it previously unless you know the dog owner due to their immature immune systems and they are more prone to picking up parvo before all their shots are done.

Best wishes with your pup!

Marianne
I think the brown on the muzzle (Nose) makes one think GSD The yellow could be lab, the face is narrow like an american bred Lab and pointy like a GSD But there could be any combo of mix. I cannot tell a lot from your pics but sure is a cute pup Thanks for rescueing a mix. They make the best pets. Hope you return to the forum to see our responses. Try a pit and or GSD board too. How did you decide to post on an OES board?????
So that is why I'm not a big fan of the chihuahua. A friend of mine has one (not sure why) and it looks like a rodent. Missing some hair and skin is kind of blackish.
