So pregnant ladies or grandmas....

How is everything going? I had planned on asking and thought it was exciting to see that someone actually had a baby when I came onto the board.

You mommies ready? Baby rooms ready? Bought everything? How many weeks are you presently? Eating everything in sight?

I'm happy to say I've got 11lbs to go before I'm at my pre-pregnancy weight!

Pregnant lady checking in!

I'm doing well--I'm 28 weeks, so like 7something months. I failed my first gestational diabetes test, but passed the longer one, so I'm all good with that!

Oh, and she's currently breach. She's basically resting on my bladder, so that's fun. We get to see a 3D ultrasound of her in 2 weeks...I can't wait, although I'm not sure I want to see exactly what she looks like yet...But I don't think I could NOT look at the screen while she's up there.

Not really craving anything. Just pretty much eating like I normally do, only a little more.

I've gained about 18 pounds so far.

Nursery is coming along. When it's finished I'll take pictures. It's really cute, though!

My shower is next weekend, so we're waiting to see what we get from that, then we'll go out and buy the rest of what we need.
Can't wait for pics :D

Ooooooooh, I love baby showers!!! I always hope I get the big items, but am pleasantly surprised by items I didn't think of. I'm getting an itzbeen for a friend. I think it's handy for people with 2 or more kids. Keeps track of the last time you fed, etc... for you. Not as easy as the first time around. I have NO IDEA when this kiddo feeds. I do my best to remember or write it down but I forget what I tried to remember and have no idea if what I wrote down was when he finished eating or when he started!

Glad you passed your second gb test. those suck (having to wait around)!!!
I am finally able to get up and walk around without puking! Yay! That's an accomplishment, right?

Actually, I am 14 weeks along now, which means I'm in the first week of the 2nd trimester. :) I've read the chances of miscarriage go down a lot if you make it this far, so that's a good thing. (We weren't expecting any problems, but this is our first time). Not much is going on, except that I feel like a fat blob. I've only gained 3 pounds so far, but I still feel like a blob. (where is the jabba-the-hut emoticon??)

7 more weeks and we can find out what we're having! I honestly have no idea what it is. :P
My grandbaby bean is doing just fine. My adorable DIL (who wears a size 0 in her non pregnant state 8O ) is starting to get a bump. I would love them to send me a picture of the baby bump but am afraid that is a bit out of line for a MIL to ask. My son is already a nervous wreck!!!

I sent her a gift card to the local Maternity shop so she can get some spring and summer clothes, she's a teacher and needs to "dress". My knitting needles are clacking (when I have have time  ), I'm well on my way to finishing the second blanket with some sweaters ready to start.

They have decided NOT to reveal the sex :( :( :( :( which is frustrating to me but it is after all THEIR baby
Ginny, are they going to find out and just not tell you or are they not finding out themselves? Ugh, I could NEVER do that!

Oh, and I say, ask for pictures. It seems to be acceptable, at least in my world. We've been taking a lot of pictures (well, some) but just haven't put them onto the computer to send yet, and I get comments from my MIL ALL the time wanting to see my belly.

Yeah for the 2nd trimester! It's just a relief to get there, knowing that it's a safer place to be. I wasn't expecting trouble either, but it's just one of those things that you can't help but think/worry about. Glad you're feeling better too! Oh, and my Jabba the Hut stage last until I was about 24 weeks! I only looked fat and not pregnant until then, so I feel your pain!
barney, I didn't notice it until now... but I hope you're not TOO concerned your baby isn't positioned right ...right now. I'm sure you've been told so many times by now that it's way too early, but it's true. I'm excited for you that you're getting a 3D ultrasound. I'm jealous!!! How cool. It's 450 dollars to get one done here, so I passed. *fart*

that's such a great gift!!! I always needed an excuse to buy more maternity clothes, so those were my favorite gifts. and AFTER I had the baby, a gift card to nordstrom's to get fitted for a new bra was also a blessing :)

I totally would throw a fit (even though it's not my right) if I was a mom and the kids weren't telling me what they were having!! I need to buy stuff!!! If it was their second or third then I wouldn't care as much.

Anyway, I can't wait to see pics of the little ones especially the little girls since EVERY SINGLE officer in my husband's battalion had a boy (although on is pregnant with a girl right now. It's still SIX boys that were born when baby joshee was. Last time when I had lil J, EIGHT were having boys, 0 girls.
Jo--No, I'm not worried at the moment. The word breach is sort of scary when you hear it, but there's plenty of time for her to turn. I'm thinking it's probably more comfortable for her to not be sitting on her head this whole time! I'm more 'concerned' with the dancing on my bladder. That what it feels like anyways!

I don't know why, but (at least at this point), I'm not worried about the birth part of this. I know it's gonna happen and there's nothing I can do about it, so why worry about it!
Not knowing what to expect is a big part of it which is wonderful. How many do you guys plan on having? :)

I hope your delivery is easy breezy ...........oh and short!! :)
ha ha ha. I'm sure it'll be painless and like an hour or so!

I don't know how many we're thinking. Cam says 3 is his limit...I say, let's see how this one goes! I think I want at least 2, but I don't like being pg very much (I am a stinker since I have NOTHING to complain about), so I can't imagine doing this too many more times...
Barney I am glad to hear you are doing well and 1st time mommy aren't you glad to start feeling better? I felt weird around that time because there was nothing going on that really made me FEEL pregnant other than new boobs.

I'm 20 weeks right now and starting to show. It's exciting, but at the same time I am in desperate need of some new clothes and don't really have the funds for a new wardrobe.

We found out last week that we are having a girl, so that is really exciting! She's also been kicking a lot the last couple of weeks which is really cool. I'm just now starting to think about nursery's but haven't really gotten anywhere on that front. We are hoping our house will sell and we'll be living in a different one before the baby is born so I'm reluctant to do anything to the current house.

Thanks for asking about us Jo. I'd love to see more Joshee pictures and hear about how life with two little ones is treating you. :)
This is all so very exciting. I want to see the 3D ultrasound photos!
My BFF is a sonographer and that's what she does exculsively. She loves it because everyone is always so happy to have it done. :D
Yeah, the 3D will be cool. Although I've seen some and the baby looks really freaky, so I hope our girl looks cute and not scary! And the best part is, it's free! My doctor just does them, no charge, just like he's given me an ultrasound (regular) at every appt I've had, which is unusual, since most people only get 2 their whole time, and I've already had 8!

Um, how come no one is sharing names!!! Not like we're going to tell your family and friends!

CONGRATS!! Tis the season (now) for girls! Bout time, I'm sick of hearing about boys.

I miss feeling all the kicks. I hope you sell the house soon! Ours goes on the market on the 1st.

I always get on ron about needing more emoticons.

Glad the sickness is over. Now you can enjoy the second trimester to prepare for the backaches of the last trimester. hahahahhaha

Don't you be going too far when it comes time to tell us the sex!
Oh, yeah, Scruffy--Congrats on the girl!!!

Jo--so, if your house is going on the market, does that mean good news on the deployment front?

We don't have a name yet, so that's why I haven't told y'all yet! Except for Darcy...she knows our choices...but don't go asking her!
I thought about sneaking in on you two the other day in chat. Danggit. Should have seen if baby talk was going on... ;)
We are pretty decided on the name Ella Grace unless something comes along that we both love more. Anabelle was a close second, depending on my mood it goes back and forth. :D
Both of those are so beautiful. Annabelle was on my list and Grace for a middle name but my dang SIL grabbed it first!
That's pretty. I like Anna Grace. :D

I understand about not naming two the same first names, but why would it matter for one to have a first name and the other to have that as a middle name?
Hello Hello! Not prego anymore but I wanted to bump in :D Wow I made a pun and didn't even notice

I just delivered on Tuesday morning! I feel ok. Which is as good as I am going to get for a while.

I am so excited for you Barney1. I loved having a little baby girl!!! She was so much fun! I think I just liked all the clothes

I am so jealous Jo. I wish I only had that many to lose. I am excited that I can start to get back in shape though. I have been waiting to get back to my old self (maybe even better then old self). The weather is just starting to try and get nice here. We are suppose to get snow this weekend but it is getting warm enough it hopefully won't hang around long :plead:

You know they have maternity clothes at Target and Old Navy and Gap now. They usually don't have much/any in the stores, but there's lots of stuff online. That's way better than the specialty shops that sell each shirt for $90. :P Do you have any friends/family that might be able to lend you some maternity clothes? I have 3 people right now telling me they have tons of stuff I should borrow.

Congrats on the girl! I love the name Annabelle. Ella's good too. We're thinking about Lila for a girl. I like Alexis, but Jason hates it. :P

We're going with Deacon for a boy. No middle names picked out yet.
We will have a new granddaughter in April, Lyndon Elizabeth :hearts: . My DIL had the 3D and Lyndon looked like WC Fields, although I probably should not have said that out loud :) . I love shopping for girls!

I really like Lilly, but that one is a no go with the hubby. Why do they have to have a say anyways?
I still think Darcy is an under used name......someone should really consider it......

its a powerhouse spunky name
our 8th grandchild is coming April 8th. C section. It is a boy, I am glad for my son. They have a 3 yr old girl now.

Funny I have 4 children, 3 girls 1 boy.
Each one of the has a boy and girl. Or will have when this one comes. No name yet.

I have 3 great grandchildren all boys.
so I will have a grand child younger than my great grand children.
Can't wait to hear his name. My son is the last to carry on his dads name so now one more.
I'm going to be an aunt, can I post here too?

My twin is due any day now-with a GIRL! Her name is going to be Kylie Claire. She had the 3-D ulatrasound done, and the pictures are amazing. You can see Kylie sucking her thumb, how round her little face is, even how large her eyes are. And she has a perfect little pug nose!

Kylie's room is done in Pottery Barn "spring flowers" motif. Very cute, but quite expensive. Sis did the two-tone room thing, with the chair-rail, dark green on bottom, lighter on top. It looks terrific.

Can you tell I'm excited????
